“Truth!” Naruto shouts.
Shikamaru’s bedroom floor has been taken over by a sprawling circle of drunken partygoers.
Unsurprisingly Sakura has convinced all eight of them to play truth or dare. “While everyone still feels a little bit too honest,” she explains with a wink.
Drawing from a bowl with small pink slips of paper, Sakura reads the question carefully.
“Would you ever make out with your best friend?”
“Yeah, have you seen him?” Naruto mumbles without hesitation. He’s smiling easily, half-asleep on Sasuke’s shoulder. The blond is pleasantly drunk and a quiet exhaustion keeps forcing his eyes shut.
When Sasuke finally utters a low “what?” Naruto has folded entirely into his shoulder, limp with sleep.
