The Bakusquad had seen a lot of weird things.
They had seen Kaminari accidentally short-circuit his own phone.
They had seen Sero get stuck to a wall because he miscalculated his Tape Quirk.
They had seen Kirishima walk into a door because he was too busy hyping someone up.
And they had seen Bakugo do plenty of things he would deny ever happening.
But nothing prepared them for what happened on a random afternoon in the dorms.
Mina was sitting on the couch with a mirror in one hand, finishing up her makeup while the boys were scattered around the common room.
Kaminari was scrolling through his phone.
Sero was playing a game.
Kirishima was chatting with them.
Bakugo was pretending he wasn’t listening.
The key word being pretending.
“Okay, I’m done,” Mina said happily.
She closed her makeup bag and stood up.
The boys barely paid attention.
Until Mina reached up and casually pulled something off her eye.
Kaminari froze.
Sero stopped playing.
Kirishima looked over.
Bakugo glanced up.
“…”
“…”
“…”
“Mina.”
She looked at Kaminari.
“Yeah?”
“YOUR EYE JUST CAME OFF.”
The room went silent.
Mina blinked.
“What?”
Kaminari pointed at the fake lash in her hand with genuine horror.
“YOUR EYELASH.”
Sero sat up.
“Wait, are you okay?”
Kirishima looked concerned.
“Does that hurt?!”
Mina stared at them.
Then she burst out laughing.
“No way.”
“What?” Kirishima asked.
“You guys thought my actual eyelash came off?”
Kaminari looked confused.
“IT WAS ATTACHED TO YOUR EYE.”
“Yeah. That’s kind of the point.”
Sero leaned forward.
“Hold on. Those aren’t real?”
“No.”
“The whole time?”
“Yes.”
Kirishima looked amazed.
“That’s actually kinda impressive.”
Mina smiled.
“Thank you.”
Kaminari pointed at the lashes.
“So you just… put extra eyelashes on?”
“Yep.”
“On purpose?”
“Yep.”
“Why?”
Mina stared at him.
“Because they’re cute?”
Kaminari nodded slowly, like he was learning important information.
“Girls are confusing.”
“You’re telling me,” Sero joked.
Bakugo rolled his eyes from his spot on the chair.
“You idiots are unbelievable.”
Mina looked over.
“Oh? You knew they were fake?”
“Obviously.”
Everyone turned toward him.
Kaminari gasped.
“YOU KNEW?”
“Yeah.”
“And you didn’t tell us?!”
“Why would I?”
“Because we thought Mina’s eye fell off!”
Bakugo looked annoyed.
“That’s your problem.”
Mina crossed her arms, grinning.
“Wow, Katsuki. Didn’t know you were so knowledgeable about makeup.”
“Don’t start.”
“Do you know what mascara is too?”
“I said don’t start.”
Sero immediately joined in.
“Wait, wait. Does Bakugo secretly know makeup terms?”
“No.”
“Foundation?”
“No.”
“Highlighter?”
“No.”
“Lip gloss?”
Bakugo’s glare could have killed him.
“Finish that sentence and you’re dead.”
Kaminari laughed.
“This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“You’re all annoying.”
Despite his complaints, Bakugo didn’t leave.
Which everyone noticed.
Mina smiled knowingly.
“You’re secretly interested.”
“I am not.”
“Sure.”
Later that night, the group chat got a new message.

Mina:
GUYS KATSUKI KNOWS WHAT FAKE LASHES ARE
Kaminari:
HE DIDN’T EVEN PANIC 😭
Sero:
suspicious
Kirishima:
honestly pretty manly that he noticed
Bakugo:
I’m muting this.
Mina:
You say that every time.
Bakugo:
I mean it this time.
A minute later:
Bakugo:
Also they were obviously fake.
Everyone stared at the message.
Kaminari:
YOU’RE STILL READING???
Bakugo:
Shut up.
And just like that, the first Bakusquad crisis was solved.
Mina’s eyelashes survived.
The boys learned something new.
And Bakugo absolutely did not admit he cared.
