Summary
Three years ago Tony’s boyfriend Steve broke things off without an explanation. But it’s fine. And he’s fine. Sure, his love life is a mess, he’s drifted away from his sister, he’s feuding with his father’s new wife, and he hates his job. But who doesn’t struggle in their twenties?
When his father sells his childhood home, his stepmother throws one last party, and Tony’s left off the guest list. That’s fine, too. It’s not like he wanted to go anyway. At least, not until he remembers that he left something important hidden in the house’s walls. He’ll just have to break into Stark Manor to find it while everyone else is busy celebrating.
Except there’s just one tiny, little problem. Steve, the man that broke his heart then walked away like it was nothing, was invited to the party. But it’s fine. He’ll just ignore the man that first stole and then shattered his heart.
As the night wears on, Tony realizes he has to reconcile some difficult truths from his past, find a way to reconnect with his sister, and battle his lingering feelings for his ex. He also needs to ignore the longing looks Steve keeps casting his way. And the feeling that Howard knows something about his breakup that he doesn’t.
