Beach day

Summary:

03:00 AM - Krakoa bay

Moonknight and Blade stumbled through the Krakoan porthole on Monster island onto the Living mass. Moonknight rubbed his eyes with one hand, as the other was clutching a sand surfing board.

"Urgh, I don't think I'll EVER get used to porthole travel..." he groaned

"Steven, you travel through portholes all the time and are seem fine." replied Blade, looking confused

"THATS different. Krakoan portholes feel like its judging me while I go through..." he shivered

Just a beach day for the two fists of vengeance

Notes:

Wow this took a month and a half and i hate it lmao

03:00 AM - Krakoa bay

Moonknight and Blade stumbled through the Krakoan porthole on Monster island onto the Living mass. Moonknight rubbed his eyes with one hand, as the other was clutching a sand surfing board.

"Urgh, I don't think I'll EVER get used to porthole travel..." he groaned

"Steven, you travel through portholes all the time and are seem fine." replied Blade, looking confused

"THATS different. Krakoan portholes feel like its judging me while I go through..." he shivered

"Huh. That's odd." stated the Daywalker, looking up to the beach in front of them. It was early in the morning so it was high tide, and the rising sun glittered on the oceans surface. "Come on, lets get a good spot before everyone else arrives." he smiled, grabbing his lovers hand and pulling him gently towards the sandy beach. Steven laughed, and stumbled a little trying to keep up with Blade. It did not take long until they found two beach loungers in the perfect spot, not too far from the beach bar but far enough for the noise of the beach bar to die out before it reached them. They pushed together the lounges and pulled out a windbreaker. The two of them placed it in a semicircle around the lounges before laying down on them. Steven removed his cape and placed it over them as a blanket.

"I gotta answer some work emails, 'kay?" he smiled, pulling out his phone

"Urgh, seriously?" groaned Blade "You always seem to be answering those..." he grumbled

"I run a business Eric, work emails are part of the job." Steven replied, turning over so he could see his phone easier

"Well, it shouldn't." huffed Blade reaching out and grabbing Steven by his stomach, pulling him closer to Eric "Cant you just send them to Reece?"

"Hey!" Steven yelped in surprise "I cant send EVERYTHING to Reece! That will overload her with work! I have to do things too." he muttered "Now let me focus."

"Nah." Blade grinned, skirting his fangs over his lovers shoulders before pressing the bridge of his nose against Stevens spine. Steven turned his head and stared at him with his horrifying blue eyes.

"Can you stop that for one second?" he huffed, though the look on his face betrayed any feeling of seriousness

"Urgh, fine!" Blade laughed, settling down and closing his eyes, allowing Steven to finally answer his work emails. After about half an hour, Steven finally put down his phone and turned to see Blade, who had already fallen asleep. Steven smiled and planted a kiss onto his lovers forehead before settling down to sleep next to him.

08:00 AM

Marc felt a cold splash of something wet jolted awake, ready to attack whoever was after him, before he realised it was just water. He looked around, noticing that most of the others had arrived already, and that guy, Scott Summers, was manning the bar. Those two lovebirds, Cloak and Dagger, were chasing each other through the shallows, and Dr Strange was walking with Frank, both also soaking wet and agitated. He turned his head to the direction that the two were walking, spotting Spiderman and the Human Torch, who were bent over backwards laughing. Marc furrowed his brows, this was not how they planned the day to go. Oh well, a few minutes in the drivers seat shouldn't change anything. He told himself, moving to get up. Before Blade had grabbed his arm, Marc had not realised that he was awoken too.

"Its not worth it Marc..." Blade told him

"It will only take a second, and you know that I will always get revenge on someone." Marc shrugged

"Alright then." Blade muttered and lay back down onto the lounge. Marc rose from the lounges, and stalked over towards Frank and Strange.

"They got you too?" asked Frank

"Mhm." mumbled Marc

"Yeah me too." Strange said "I was going to drop an interdimensional kraken on them, but Frank said that would do more harm than good."

"Yeah, a giant squid is probably going to ruin beach day." Frank huffed "Anyway, wanna get revenge?" he turned to Marc, grinning and offering one of his water guns.

"Nah, I got this." Marc grinned at his old friend, turning around to face the two who had just pranked him. Marc took a deep breath and tapped the ankh on his necklace. He raised his arms, blue eyes glowing bright along with the tattoos along his body. A few seconds later, a large sphere of water slowly rose out of the ocean, carrying in it a very confused landshark. The sphere floated slowly towards Spiderman and Torch until it was right above them, when Marc relaxed and let the sphere of water land on those two, landshark included. Marc grinned, looking at the astonished faces of the two boys as the landshark scampered off.

"Well, that was fun, but I gotta get back to my nap." he smiled, looking at the two behind him, one shocked, the other surprised before he walked off, back towards Blade.

"Did you know he could do that? I knew he could do a little bit of magic but In all my years of working with him, he has never said he was able to control water..." asked Frank

"No, me neither, but Khonsu is a lunar god, and the moon controls the tides, so it makes sense, sort of." replied Strange

Marc slumped back down onto the lounge, curling up against Eric as he quietly fell asleep once more.

13:00 PM

Jake woke up, feeling hungry, and looked at Blade, still fast asleep. That was expected, neither of them were awake much during the day, being creatures of the night and all. Blade opened his eyes a little, maroon iris' peeking through.

"Hm?" he mumbled

"I'm going to get us drinks and maybe some food, want anything?"

"I could go for a Pina colada" Blade pondered

"Really? Alright then." Jake smiled and got up, walking towards the bar. He scanned the beach as he walked, spotting a newly arrived Black Widow in a gorgeous costume. A little over to the right he saw Cloak and Dagger, gliding along the water on a board, Cloak acting as a parasail. He also spotted Spiderman and Human Torch, having given up on pranking the others, they were messing around in the shallows together, spraying each other with water. Jake walked up the stairs to the bar, noticing Emma Frost talking to, or more accurately, flirting with Cyclops, who was tending the bar.

"Heya Summers, Ms Frost." he greeted

"Hello Moonknight- wait, why do you call Emma Ms and why am I not Sir then?" Cyclops questioned, confused

"I like Emma more than you. That's why." Jake grinned

"Why thank you Jake!" laughed Emma

"Alright then, what do you want?" Cyclops grumbled

"A Vodka and a Pina Colada" The cab driver replied

"Alright then." Summers muttered and got to making the drinks

"So, how does it feel having your Gala go as planned for once?" smiled Jake

"Honestly, quite refreshing." Emma sighed, the 2026 hellfire Gala actually went well, apart from a few of Magik's Minions getting loose for a few minutes, everything went smoothly. Moonknight and Emma quickly became friends during the venue, bonding over their shared colour palettes.

"That's nice to hear." he replied

"Heres' your drinks." Cyclops said, sliding the two drinks over to Jake

"Thanks. Bye Emma!" he smiled, getting up and walking out of the bar. He turned, spotting Captain America at the grill with Squirrel girl and Luna Snow. He considered getting food before making his decision and walking towards them.

"Heya Cap, Doreen, Miss Hee." Jake smiled

"Hello soldier." Steve said, focusing far too much on the grill

"Hello Jake!" Luna grinned

"Heya Jake!" smiled Doreen

"Do you have anything ready for me to grab?" he asked Steve

"Yeah there are a few patties and hot dogs on that table, keep the lid on after you grab them, prevents insects from swarming the place" Steve muttered, squinting at the grill. Jake walked over to the table lifting the cover and grabbing two burgers. He quickly placed some toppings on them and closed the lid. He knew that Eric did not need to eat, but he liked being included, and his happiness was important to Jake. He walked back towards their spot, balancing two drinks and two burgers in this arms.

"Hey Eric, get up. I got you a drink and some food!" he grinned

"Hm? Oh thanks Juicebox" Blade smiled, taking his drink and burger. Jake sat down next to him, and they ate together silently. After they had finished, they both lay down once more, idly chatting about many different things. Sometime later, the two were approached by two figures, Loki and Thor.

"Hello, friends!" grinned Thor

"Heya Thor!" Blade smiled

"Hey you two." Jake greeted

"We are going to go play some volleyball. Will you join us?" Offered Loki "I WAS going to ask Mantis, but she is preoccupied, and knowing Thor, she'll get knocked unconscious by one of his strikes. So we need more... durable opponents." she grumbled

"Well alright then, I don't mind going." said Jake

"I agree, I've been lounging around all day, a Dhampir needs to stretch once in a while!" Blade laughed

"Wonderful!" Loki smiled "Come then, we have no time to waste." she beckoned them to follow her as she walked off. They followed the Asgardians to a simple volleyball pitch on the sand. Loki picked up the ball that lay on the ground.

"I assume you both know how to play?" she asked, the two fists of Khonsu nodded, "Brilliant!" she said, before tossing the ball into the air and serving. The match started, and the two sides were evenly matched, the game being a stalemate for the first 20 minutes. Finally, Thor had surprised the two of them by jumping high and hitting the ball way earlier than either of them expected, making them panic, and causing the first point to be given to the Asgardians. They played on for another 5 minutes until Jake scored the Avatars first point. The game continued like this, points racking up until finally, Loki scored the winning point.

"Haha! That was an exhilarating match!" she laughed

"Indeed sister! Twas a fine battle!" grinned Thor "Well done you two!"

"Thank you Thor" Blade smiled "Hey Jake, you up for a quick nap?" he yelled at the other man

"Yeah!" he called "That was exhausting." he sighed

The two men, trudged back to their spot, worn out by the intense match, and collapsed onto the combined lounges, both quickly falling asleep.

10:00pm

Blade shook Marc awake "Wake up, Juicebox." Marc groaned, opening his eyes

"What?" he grumbled

"You wanted to be the last one who fronts, you gotta deal with that." Blade replied

"Alright, alright!" Marc groaned, getting up from the lounge and grabbing his sandboard "Lets go then!"

"Race ya." Eric grinned, before speeding off at an inhuman pace

"Damn Vampire powers." Marc huffed, tossing the sandboard onto the ground and jumping onto it, using his abilities to manipulate the sand into propelling him and the board forwards. Marc surfed the sand dunes, following the red flash ahead of him, steadily getting closer to it, when Blade suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, surprising Marc. He halted too fast, the sandboard stopping in its tracks and flinging him towards the dunes. Marc landed face first into the sand.

"MARC! Are you alright?" Eric asked as he rushed over

"I'm fine..." Marc mumbled, embarrassed "The only thing hurt is my ego..."

"Well that's fine then!" Blade laughed, hauling his partner back to their feet "Come on, Juicebox, lets go stargazing."

Marc smiled, walking with the Dhampir to the edge of the ocean and sitting down, waves lapping at their feet "Hey Fangs, did you know that the Egyptians believed that the sky was actually the goddess Nut, who was separated from her husband, the earth god Geb, by her own son?" he asked

"No I did not, that's amazing." Blade replied "What about the Moon?"

"The Moon was believed to be a silver disk, much like the sun, that was worn as a crown. The Moon itself was a symbol or the cycle of life."

"Wow, wait, does that make Khonsu a fertility god?" Eric asked

"Yes, but don't tell Frank, I'll never hear the end of it." Marc admitted

"Alright, I wont." Blade smiled "Tell me more about the Moon."

Blade listened to Marc ramble on about Khonsu, Thoth, and The city Thebes until both fell back asleep, images of the ancient city floating in their minds.
