"I've got you something."
Sebastian looks away from the dark flowing waters of the styx, having knelt besides it to watch it flow. It seemed to be the only alive thing in this place. He meets Kimi's gaze, curiosity in his eyes despite his sadness.
He was missing his meadow and the flowers and the animals. But Kimi wasn't cruel to him, never raised his voice. Kimi seemed….lonely.
Kimi clears his throat and holds out a circular object, the bright yellow colours eye catching within the darkness.
It's a flower crown made of sunflowers. It makes Sebastian's heart skip a beat.
"I remember you saying you loved earth's sunflowers and how they reminded you of the sun. So I picked some for you." Kimi holds out the crown to Sebastian, giving him a gentle smile.
Sebastian gently reaches out, touching each of the delicate petals. "It's fresh."
"It will not decay, I made sure of it." Kimi tells him, gesturing with the crown, "may I?"
"You may." Sebastian looks up at Kimi, his heart warmed by the simple gesture of comfort given to him.
The crown is gently placed upon his head, the yellow colour bright in the dark. But Sebastian's smile is brighter.
He leans over the river, admiring the crown on his head and catching Kimi's soft look in the water's reflection. "It's beautiful, thank you so much!"
"I've also added some things to your home here." Kimi tells him, offering Sebastian his hand. "Join me?"
Sebastian nods and takes the offered hand, getting up off of the grass and following Kimi.
What Kimi leads him to, makes his heart warm.
It's a meadow, right there in the middle of the underworld. Bright sunflowers dance in the wind, rabbits race along the grass, the sun is somehow shining. It's beautiful.
Sebastian looks at Kimi, leaning into his side. "You did all this for me? You remembered rabbits were my favourite animal."
"Of course, I want you to feel at home here with me." Kimi smiles softly at him, full of warmth.
"This is amazing, I do feel at home." Sebastian tells him, and he does. He really really does. Maybe he could find a home here after all.
Kimi's pleased look makes him feel warm and he gently squeezes his hand. "Come on, let me show you the rabbits!"
Kimi allows Sebastian to lead him into the meadow and Sebastian finally forgets all about earth.
