Work Text:

Wooyoung spent the last three days torturing San. Having to sit there in front of the cameras and hear him tell the whole world that they aren't dating and they are just really good friends was bad enough but then the video went up and of course thats the clip going viral. So yeah, he was out for blood.

Maybe he would've been over it by now if San didn't keep trying to clear things up. He just had to go and ask the fans to not call it a couple tattoo afterwards. Honestly who cares what people are saying, it had never been an issue before. All of it was really starting to mess with his head.

As hard as Wooyoung tried to not let it bother him, he was starting to feel insane. Maybe San didn't want to be with him anymore and this was his way of trying to ease into the break up. That would be devastating. Their schedules had gotten busier and they weren't spending as much time together as they normally would. That was the whole point of the YouTube channel to begin with. Thankfully they had already filmed the first two videos so that would buy Wooyoung a little time to avoid San for now.

He knows San is growing impatient with the slow texts. Even more so when he doesn't get a response at all but Wooyoung just can't deal with it right now. He's already preparing for after. How do they go back to being just friends when Wooyoung knows the way San tastes. When he knows all the sounds he makes. The way his brows pinch in the morning before opening his eyes because he doesn't want to wake up yet. He knows San inside and out. At least he thought he did.

Day one of the fanmeet was just the beginning. No one could really tell anything was off with them. They know how to be professional. When it ended San asked if he wanted to go eat with Jongho and Seonghwa and he just told him he was too tired. It wasn't really a lie but even if San knew he was being avoided he didn't let it show. That also pissed Wooyoung off.

He gets it, he's the one pulling away but for San to act like its not a big deal, that hurts. That fueled the flames for day two. Wooyoung made sure to have a moment with every single member except San.

Those fancams were fun to watch after avoiding dinner with San again that night. The look on his face when he did a part of Troublemaker with Yunho made him feel satisfied. It settled him, even if only a little, to see how possessive he looked and to see the fans pointing it out. It still wasn't enough though.

Before they took the stage for day 3 San finally cornered him in one of the dressing rooms.

"You're avoiding me." It wasn't a question. San's tone was rough and low. It was an accusation.

"No." Wooyoung says, keeping his voice even, barely sparing San a glance. It's true and they both know it but he's not ready to give in just yet. Their dynamic has always been push and pull. Wooyoung is a brat and San loves it.

"You are. Don't think for a second that just because I'm letting you have the space you need to sort out whatever is going on with you that you can just throw yourself at at whoever you want and I'm gonna be okay with that." Wooyoung rolls his eyes at San. Letting him have space. Throwing himself at other people.

"I'm just helping you clear things up buddy. Don't want people to get the wrong idea and think we're dating now do we?" He challenges with a pout and one eyebrow raised.

"Ah, I see. You're right we don't want that. Good thinking, baby." San smiles as he turns to walk out the room.

"Seriously? What the fuck San!" Wooyoung huffs. San still leaves. Time to up the antics. Instead of just being flirty with the other members, he included San this time. Wooyoung's hand on San's shoulder, the yearning look in his eyes as he dragged his hand down San's arm. He knew that was it. Game, set, match. They were gonna have fun tonight.

Then tonight turned into Wooyoung in bed alone watching fancams again. He's smiling so big his face hurts as he watches that particular interaction. Then he sees red. After he runs his hand down San's arm and turns to the front, San is waving his hands. And yeah, thats the choreography and he's smiling, maybe even laughing. But he's shaking his fucking head almost like he's pleading with the fans to not take it the wrong way.

Wooyoung can't even remember jumping off the bed and barging into San's room but now he's standing over a shocked San laying in his bed staring up at him with wide eyes.

"End it. Now." Wooyoung's eyes snap shut as he tried to catch his breath.

"What?" San asks with confusion clear in his voice.

"Don't act dumb, Choi San. You're out there trying to make it clear to everyone but me that we aren't together!" he's shouting but he doesn't care who hears at this point. They'll all find out eventually.

"Baby, I-" San stands, reaching towards Wooyoung to pull him close but Wooyoung backs up.

"No. Don't do that. Don't call me that." his voice is barely above a whisper now. He's staring at San with tears welled up in his eyes. He just wants it to be over so he can learn how to move on. "Just tell me that you don't want to be with me anymore. We'll be fine. I promise. I might need time but I'll get over it."

"Don't want to be with you? What are you even talking about? Is this still about what I said in the YouTube intro?" San starts rambling. Wooyoung can tell he's starting to panic. The rational side of his brain is begging him to stop being so dramatic.

"And fromm, and the fanmeet. I understand that we can't exactly be open about our relationship but when did we get to the point where you deny me every chance you get. After that stupid dating rumor with-"

"Our dancer?" San chuckled. "Baby, you spend way too much time online."

"Don't laugh at me." Wooyoung pouts.

"I just let you spiral for too long didn't I? I love you, you know that. I thought i was being funny when I said it that day. I knew what you were doing when you started being flirty on stage with everyone but me and honestly I thought you were playing around. If I knew this was seriously bothering you I would've said something sooner." San sighed. "Come here." He opened his arms to gesture for a hug pulling Wooyoung in when he closed the distance.

"I really thought you didn't want me anymore." Wooyoung mumbled into San's chest.

"Baby, how could I not want you? You're it for me." San pulled away to look down at Wooyoung.

"Please don't deny me again, Sannie. My heart can't take it. I don't care what anyone thinks. We've been doing this for almost seven years now so for you to start saying I'm not yours... it hurts too much." Wooyoung frowns. Hes not really crying anymore and the pain in his chest is starting to dissipate.

"I know baby, I'm sorry. I wont do it again." San pulled Wooyoung's head back to his chest, petting his hair. "I love you, baby. Lets get some sleep."

As they settled in the bed Wooyoung couldn't help but laugh at himself. They promised each other forever. Its etched in their skin. There wasn't a world where Wooyoung existed without San or vice versa. In every universe, in every lifetime they were bound together body and soul.

"I love you too, my Sannie."
