“McLean !” exclaimed Coach Hedge for the seventh time. “Sit down !”
Piper blew a raspberry at him and laid even more on Leo.
Leo rolled his eyes at her. "Childish much ?" he smirked.
"Ironic coming from the 5 foot 1 boy."
"Hey !"
Leo shoved her.
"That's misogyny," protested Piper.
"That's me preserving my back."
"You're so mean to your girlfriend !" pouted Piper. She didn't miss the blush creeping on Leo's cheeks, or the way his grip on her hand tightened. She snorted.
"You're such a cunt."
"Misogyny," repeated Piper.
"You were so nice to me yesterday. Where's that Piper ? I want her back."
"That was all part of my plan to seduce you."
"Bitch."
Piper snorted. "Takes one to know one."
Leo shoved her again, and Piper laughed, leaning against her best friend-slash-boyfriend.
"So," she grinned. "How does it feel to not be a single loser anymore ?"
"Hey, you chose to date me ! You're the one who asked me out."
"Well I didn't know I wouldn't get my girlfriend privileges revoked so soon !"
"Which girlfriend privileges ?"
"Kissing and stuff."
Leo's eyes widened, and Piper felt a satisfied smile stretch on her lips.
"Well you could've asked," he muttered. "I can't read minds, you know. And if I could, I wouldn't go in your head anyways." He wrinkled his nose. "It's surely full of shit."
"Hey !"
Leo laughed and took Piper's hand. He smiled at her, and she felt her heart speed up.
"Fucker."
Leo grinned. "Aww. You're the sweetest girlfriend. Kiss ?"
Piper rolled her eyes and kissed him. Which shut him up, and made him blush furiously. Piper smirked.
"Valdez ! McLean !" called Coach Hedge. "That's it ! You cupcakes are gonna sit apart !"
"Oh nooo," whined Leo in a mocking tone. "Separated ? For the whooole 15 minutes drive ? I can't survive without my Snuggle Bug !"
Piper snickered. "How am I going to manage 15 excruciating minutes far from my Snickerdoodle ?"
Leo and Piper burst out laughing, and then muffled their laughter when Coach Hedge approached with furious steps. Leo slid from his seat to the one in front, and made a kissy face at Piper through the gape between the seats.
Piper laughed and made a face back.
"This is discrimination," grinned Leo. "I can't even hold my girlfriend's hand !"
"How transphobic."
Leo laughed and held out his hand over the seats. Piper took it and kissed it. Leo pretended to swoon.
"McLean ! Valdez !"
Leo rolled his eyes and dropped Piper's hand.
"Let's make out at the Grand Canyon later," she said.
Leo grinned.
