Work Text:
“Stop pacing little wolf.” Sylus said, tone mild as he tapped away at the tablet in his hand, stylus twirling between two fingers as he worked through the logistics of a recent acquisition. Valko did not stop pacing, he simply rolled his eyes and made another circuit of the room.
They had been stuck in a cabin roughly two hundred miles outside of Linkon because of a freak blizzard and he was going a little stir crazy. Half-way through his third circuit of the room since Sylus had asked him to stop pacing he felt Sylus’ evol wrap around him and force him onto the couch next to him.
“Pacing won’t do anything but make you more anxious. Try and relax. Everyone is safe at home, and the kitchen is fully stocked. Once the storm clears, we can head home.” Sylus reassured him. Valko hadn’t liked Sylus when they first met, but over time he realized that Sylus was actually very kind, just not particularly effusive. Unlike Rafayel, who was a wonderful reality T.V. companion because he got as into the drama as he did. But Valko couldn’t just calm down. Even with Sylus’ power holding him in place he was fidgeting, in need of something to keep him busy.
Sylus sighed, put the tablet down and shifted, using his power he moved Valko to lay out on the couch, his head on Sylus’ thigh so he could stroke the man’s hair gently while turning on the latest episode of love island. Valko didn’t move. He was surprised. Normally Sylus was only like this with MC.
“Its fine little wolf. Just relax.” As the opening credits played Valko did relax, his ears flicking out making Sylus chuckle slightly, a shiver running down Valko’s back as the silver-haired man ran his nails along their base gently. Valko never saw the end of the episode, sleep dragged him under quickly. The storm ended sometime later, but they passed the night in blissful sleep, travel could wait for the morning.
