Notes:

i'm back at it again with my yearly sticky notes fics! these are always so fun to do hehe... it's a fun challenge wherein i have to tell a story in an unconventional manner. there's only so much you can tell through sticky notes, and for this one it's even harder because there's no actual conversation going on—you only have grace's reminders to go off. as a result, the overarching plot for this one is relatively simple and the focus is mostly on all the little storylines going on!

as a summary: grace is getting back into teaching on erid. in order to keep track of his lesson plans, he jots it down on sticky notes. then, because he's already using sticky notes anyway, he decides to write down important reminders for the week. he regularly has movie nights with rocky, and they take turns picking movies (or at least they try to. half the time they talk each other out of their first picks HAHA). he regularly spends time with adrian—it starts off as mere scientific exchange, then eventually they just start hanging out. he also has game nights with both rocky and adrian, which often leads to... many shenanigans. both rocky and adrian are trying to flirt with grace, but unfortunately he always ends up either oblivious to their advances or willfully ignoring them. eventually, they get bolder and bolder until they confess to him straight up.

and, for the little storylines:
-rocky is constantly trying to get grace to clean up after himself because otherwise he'd bury himself in work and forget to do so
-the biodome happenings are all adrian slowly trying to make grace's life more and more comfortable, and it also serves to foreshadow what they end up doing for grace later on
-grace is a good teacher! the lesson plans have various activities sprinkled between lectures, both for practical demonstration and so his students actually have fun learning. he meets with the pebbles' parents regularly and updates them on how their kids are doing in class. before major tests/exams, he allots time to help his students review and also makes reviewers for them to study. oh and he also uses some class periods for breaks, and goes as far as to do that just to celebrate one student's birthday
-he makes the mistake of writing down "grading papers" instead of "grading [stone] tablets" because he's so used to doing the former back on earth
-grace is on a journey to recreate sour skittles on erid. in the process, he ends up creating a separate division of the xenobiology team dedicated solely to gastronomy. woops.
