Secret genius

Summary:

Ever since childhood Katsuki has always tried to be in the top three, always trying to be first, and he was in everything.

But in academics… he was always third, on purpose, first meant everyone would go to you for help, if you're second you're always second for help, but still annoying, while if you're third and Bakugou Katsuki, no one bothers you…
most of the time at least.

Work Text:

Ever since childhood Katsuki has always tried to be in the top three, always trying to be first, and he was in everything.

But in academics… he was always third, on purpose, first meant everyone would go to you for help, if you're second you're always second for help, but still annoying, while if you're third and Bakugou Katsuki, no one bothers you…
most of the time at least.

UA, Monday, first period, Katsuki has his head on his desk, half asleep, since since shitty hair and dunce where in the dorm next to him, having an impromptu sleepover, meaning he barely any sleep.

Aizawa: "Bakugou, since the math lesson I'm doing for Ectoplasm isn't here, maybe answer this math question instead of sleeping, four and five digits equations."

Uraraka whispered to Ilda "That's harsh."

Aizawa: "So Bakugou, no calculator or paper, what's… (8,462−5,945)+(698÷5)×8?"

Bakugou tilted his head up, barely and muttered "3,633.8… sensei"

Aizawa: "Correct… did that on the top of your head?"

Bakugou rubbed his eyes, and yawned softly: "Yes, anymore math questions?"
Aizawa: "Uh…(9,452÷8)−(9,751+5,625)×7"

Bakugou yawned "−106,450.5"

Aizawa: "Very well… Bakugou see me after class, let's continue."

Bakugou layed his head back on the desk, half asleep, the time passed rather fast, and every other of his classmates left, leaving him with Sensei.

Bakugou lifted his head up "What did you want to talk about Sensei?"

Aizawa leaned against his monaghany desk "The question I asked you earlier, were the same ones, Ectoplasm put in the math test… the one I assume you answered them wrong on purpose, may I ask why?"

"Honestly sensei? If anyone knows I can actually be at the top, than other than use me for my quirk, it's gonna be also my academics."

"I guess that's true… but if you'd like, I could ask for the other teachers, during written tests, to have the grade not written on the paper, but tell you personally, so that no one else will know unless you tell them."

"Oh… thanks Sensei."
