The classroom at Hometown School was as bright as it was every morning; the few students present chatted amongst themselves while Ms. Alphys checked something on her computer, Given everyone's attitude, it seemed like it would be one of those normal days
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Susie, the class' ex bully entered the classroom
From three days ago until today, those present in the classroom have shown certain changes in how they viewed Susie, something she herself noticed as she walked towards her desk
Alphys still seemed a little nervous, greeting her politely, but she wasn't nearly as scared as she had been during her bully days
Temmie just ignored her, giving her a glance, But she didn't seem bothered by her presence
Berdly kept a condescending look on her face as Susie walked by, but she knew the bird saw her differently, not that it mattered anyway
Jockington also showed no attitude towards Susie, and in fact greeted her, He even comes to respect Susie because, from his perspective, she is to Kris what Catti is to him, but maybe those are just random ramblings, maybe the "growing beard" is affecting his brain
The one who had the most obvious reaction to Susie's arrival was Catti, She had already taken a dislike to Susie ever since Noelle confessed that she had a crush on her, but since the festival, that hatred only increased, And it's no wonder. Catti had a crush on Noelle, and Susie (without knowing that) took her hand in front of her, making her cry
Susie glanced sideways and saw that Catti had her claws out, and maybe it was her imagination. But she also heard a small, angry meow, It's best to stay away from her for now
Kris, as always, rested their head on the desk, looking like a corpse, and Susie sat behind them, ready to start another boring class day
-"W-Well...Good morning class! I-I hope you had a great day at the festival yesterday" Alphys greeted with a smile
-"I-I i know we should start the class now, but, I'd like to hear h-how you passed your weekend?" Alphys timidly asked the class
Susie thought to herself, wait, start the class now? Isn't there like...1/3 of the class missing? Susie glanced around at the tables, and she was right, for some reason MK and Snowy weren't there. She hadn't seen them at the festival either, which was strange...
But what surprised her the most was seeing Noelle's seat empty; ever since she arrived in Hometown, she had always noticed that Noelle was present every day, and always way before Susie arrived, was this the first time she got to class sooner than Noelle?
Curiosity (and slight concern) got the better of her and she asked aloud:
-"Hey! uh...where's Noelle?" The entire room except Kris (who still had their head on the desk) turned to look at her
-"What? O-Oh! Y-yeah, right, um...S-She couldn't come 'cause she had a personal situation; her mom told me that she would take ONLY this day" Alphys explained timidly
-"arright, uh...thanks" Susie said in a low voice
The whole class turned to look at Alphys.
-"..."
-"well...if no one wants to talk about their weekend...i-i guess we can start the class now, everyone, p-please open your math books at page-" That's what Susie heard Alphys say before her mind started to wander
It was common for Susie to get distracted during classes; she rarely paid attention, and when she did, it didn't matter because she would forget the learned stuff in a couple of hours
But this time, her mental wandering wasn't (just) due to boredom; A memory came to her mind, a memory of a happy moment...
She was back on the beach, the water reaching just below her knees, the sunset shimmering on the horizon, a slow wind that moved the waters very slowly
And there she was again...Noelle, resting on her arms, looking so peaceful, so tender, so...pretty
this time her head was resting on her shoulder instead of near her chest, Susie swore she could feel her lips softly touching her neck...or maybe it was her cheek and Susie mistook them because they're both furry...i mean, it's a bit hard to tell
And there...she could feel it again
Her heartbeat, slow but full of charm
She didn't lie when she said she could've kept holding her forever, having her by her side and always feeling the warmth of her body close to her
After a few peaceful seconds, Noelle turned to look at Susie
-"..."
-"...Susie?" Noelle asked, almost whispering
-"yeah?" Susie turned to look at her, Noelle was so pretty and cuddly from up close that it was very hard to keep eye contact
-"w-would...would you mind" Noelle began to speak, but she sounded slightly shy
-"Susie! Would you mind solving this exercise on the blackboard?" Alphys said
Suddenly, Reality hit her hard
She remembered where she was, in the classic boring classroom
-"huh?" Susie looked confused
-"..."
-"uhh...i Guess" Susie said, slightly disappointed, as she stood up to go to the blackboard
Of course, she couldn't avoid her responsibilities
But at least she enjoyed daydreaming...
A couple of hours have passed, and the class ends in at least 15 minutes, once that time is passed Susie will finally be free to hangout in Castletown, away from these boring "rules of language" that she is learning right now
-"Ugh, when is this supposed to end?" Susie thought to herself
Susie looked around the classroom, and it seemed she wasn't the only one who was bored
Catti was looking at her cell phone, Jockington was doing tricks with his hat (very cool by the way), Kris has been sleeping the whole class, and Temmie was drawing different caricatures, leaving Berdly as the only one in the class paying attention
Susie rested her head on the desk, just like Kris
-"Kinda lame Noelle couldn't come..." Susie thought to herself
-"I wonder how's she doing right now..."
-"*Yawn*..."
-"probably better than here..." Susie kept thinking, her eyes began to feel heavy, until...
Everything went dark
When Susie opened her eyes, she found herself in a very strange place; everything was dark, the only thing she could see was her own body, but even her own body was strange; for some reason, she wasn't wearing her jacket, and her whole body glowed pink, being the only light source in the place
Without a clear direction, Susie began to walk through this dark space, perhaps in search of someone else, some source of light other than herself
For her convenience, she ended up finding both...
In the distance, Susie spotted a figure that looked like a person; its body emanated an orange light
The closer she got, the more she could make out the figure. When she was just a few meters away, she noticed it had antlers, and it was someone slightly shorter than Susie, It was obvious who it was
Here it was again...Noelle
Susie felt her heart race slightly when she saw who it was, and she also felt a slight warmth spread across her face
-"Noelle! Hey!" Susie screamed as she headed towards the reindeer
The deer had her back turned, and upon hearing the reptile's scream, she slowly turned around
-"Oh, fahaha...hi Susie" Noelle said, despite looking happy, in a low voice
-"Glad to see you!...this place's kinda weird though" Susie said, looking around
When Susie turned to look at Noelle, she noticed that instead of wearing her typical Christmas sweater, she's wearing her jacket, Which made Susie blush, or so it would seem if blushing could be seen in this environment
-"uhh...i notice that you're wearing my jacket" Susie said, pointing to the jacket
-"oh, yeah...i thought it might look good on me" Noelle said, with her head down
-"well...it definitely does..." Susie smiled
-"..."
-"so, uh...why are you here?" Susie asked
-"right, umm...i wanted to tell you something..." Noelle looked to her side
-"Susie, I cherish every moment I spend with you, you make my days so much happier"
-"But...we're constantly interrupted by...external stuff, that happen to us; it could be my mom bothering us, or we might be separated for a few minutes and not see each other for the rest of the day..."
Noelle approached Susie, placing her hands just a little below her shoulders, Susie felt her own heart beating even faster
-"That's why I want, at least, ONE moment to enjoy, together...nothing to interrupt us"
-"...do you like how that sounds?"
Susie had never felt her own face so hot before; what kind of magic did Noelle do with her flirting?!
-"Uh-uh Y-Yeah!! Sure! W-What would you like to do?" Susie asked, with a silly grin that showed her teeth
Noelle looked at Susie, her eyes half-closed
-"i think i wanna do..."
Noelle, without letting go, gently pushed Susie forward, causing them both to fall to the ground, but neither of them getting hurt, and with Noelle ending on top of Susie
-"...something crazy"
Susie would probably die of a heart attack if Noelle continued to do magic that accelerated her heart rate
-"..."
-"me too" Susie said, nervous but confident
-"Y'know...you look so cute when you're nervous..." Noelle said, with a mischievous smile as she moved the hairs that partially covered Susie's face
-"I'm not- i...uhh-" That's all Susie could answer before Noelle pressed their lips together while holding Susie's chin
Noelle almost savagely took Susie's mouth, kissing her so passionately that no one would expect someone like her to do something like that, not caring that their teeth clashed quite often, One hand gently grasping Susie's neck from behind, the other exploring her hair
Susie was overwhelmed by this electrifying and wonderful sensation, she found it difficult to return the kisses; it was as if she had been hit with a flashbang grenade. Her mind was flooded with the many moments she had spent with Noelle; The pencil, her smile, the chalk lunchbox, the ferris wheel, the guitar, her laugh, the festival, the lake, all of them leading to this
She was afraid of letting her go; all she wanted was more
Minutes passed, and just when Susie thought she'd never get tired of this...
She began to run out of air; she was so lost in this sensation that she was forgetting something as basic as breathing
But like...who gives a damn?
She is willing to let Noelle take all her breath away, It doesn't matter if she's feeling dizzy, or if her vision starts to get a little blurry, Or if all she can hear now is a high-pitched beep
She would risk suffocating herself if it meant having this angel a little longer
After a few seconds, Noelle stopped, leaving a confused Susie huffing
-"w-why'd...w-why did you stop?" Susie asked
-"...you looked exhausted" Noelle replied, slightly worried
-"I don't want you to pass out because of me" Noelle continued, trying to smile
-"..."
-"i...i-i guess that's fair" Susie responded after reconsidering the situation a little
Noelle turned to look beside her
-"..."
-"...Susie"
-"i don't know if It's too soon to say this but..."
-"i love you" Noelle turned to look at Susie, smiling
-"i really, really, REALLY love you..."
-"i-i just wanted you to know it..."
Those words meant a lot to Susie, who hugged Noelle tightly
-"...i love you too..." Susie replied
-"i really do..."
Noelle let out a small yawn as she curled up
-"I'm glad we were able to enjoy this..." Noelle said, slightly tired
-"and...thank you for...making it real" Noelle said as sleep overtook her, falling asleep in Susie's arms
Susie felt a deep calm as she listened to Noelle's sighs in her sleep, to which she too became sleepy, eventually falling asleep
While she was sleeping next to Noelle, she felt something strange above her head, as if someone were pecking at her
She tried to remove it with her hand, but the pecking continued
But eventually, that snacking brought her back to reality
She, waking up slowly, saw an empty classroom, and it was Kris at her side poking her head to wake her up; she had been asleep for so long that the last class's bell had rung 10 minutes ago
Realizing what she had dreamed, a great embarrassement overwhelmed her, causing her to react strongly against Kris
-"Stop doing that! Dumbass!!" She yelled at Kris, playfully slapping their hand as a big blush spread across her face
She stood up from her seat and, noticing the empty room, said:
-"Damn, looks like you're not the only one who falls asleep in class...does that make us Sleeping Buddies?" Susie asked playfully, laughing
-"anyway, let's go" Susie said, as they both left the classroom
As she walked out of the classroom, she took one last look at Noelle's empty seat; maybe, if she was lucky, she might see her today. She sighed as she finally left the room.
