"Don't go."
Liam freezes, heartbeat jumping as fingers tangle in the fabric of his sleeve.
Theo squints at him from his pillow, covered head to toe except for the arm that stretches out to Liam and keeps him from leaving. His voice is rough with sleep, lips barely parting around the words. If it weren’t for werewolf senses and his tight grip, Liam almost wouldn’t believe he’d said anything. He glances at the clock, and Theo gives another tug to his sleeve.
“Stay,” he says, and it’s a request so rarely made by him that Liam is helpless to obey.
