“Are you sure about this?” He returned the question, looking anywhere but into his eyes.
“Of course,” Theo answered without hesitating, but his response didn’t completely dispel the flicker of doubt in his gaze.
Although Theo had long since broken the habit of controlling his heartbeat and masking his chemosignals when he was with Liam, there were still times when, though he didn't say it aloud, he hesitated slightly.
Theo took Liam's hand and placed it on his chest, over his stolen heart. It was a gesture he didn't often make as the trust between them was quite strong, but this was important, especially to Liam. "I want to do this. I want to get a tattoo with you."

And as the beta’s movements got more intense, more certain, Theo’s first wall of defense collapsed, his hands coming up to cradle Liam’s hips softly. He made sure his grip was light enough that the man would be able to reject it without any efforts, terrified by the thought of overstepping.
But the werewolf just rolled his eyes, and then his hips, before leaning up to whisper in the chimera’s ear. “Don’t act like a prude, Theo, I know you’re not.” And then, he slid in impossibly closer and arched his back until Theo’s hands were plastered against his body.
