   Summary

Neuvillette hires an archivist from Mondstadt to restore the long-neglected records of the Fortress of Meropide.

   Wriothesley is not consulted.

What begins as an inconvenient administrative decision slowly transforms into years of shared routines, mutual trust, quiet misunderstandings, and a growing affection that neither of them is eager to acknowledge.

In short: the archive is a mess, the Duke works too hard, and everyone realizes they’re in love before they do.
