After an unknown disease happened a lot of things changed
One of the most notable things was the "anomalies" creatures that started spreading around killing and eating people spreading the disease even more
Some animals got eaten alive some got the disease and started eating their own kind
But there was a third condition
mutation
Well you see bodies are truly a mystery! To the point of making the disease a good thing for them and taking advantage of it
Those animals who have this rare condition developed a resistance to the disease and took advantage of it some of them changed completely in appearance pointy teeth disgusting green liquid was coming out of their mouth
But they were aware of who they are and all of their memories are still there
so to prevent discrimination against them a specialized group was formed to collect these rare conditions keep them sane and give them the resources to keep them alive
There were a lot of different kinds of animals with this condition so to make use of it they began sending animals to different locations to help with the anomalies
And this hospital had a new incoming intern to help with the staff shortage

"Good morning, everyone !"
The head nurse exclaimed cheerfully as she entered the register
Everyone was clocked in and expecting the new anomaly intern and head nurse’s instructions
"Ooo seems like everyone's here! good! Well as you know we have a new intern coming, soo I expect EVERYONE to treat them nicely and help them train"
Head nurse paused tapping her chin
"Also, it seems like the intern has some experience in the medical field so we are going to focus on training the register ,are you ok with that, Bell?"
As head nurse looked at the purple sheep hopefully Bell let out a long sigh slumping further into his chair
"Alright… I got it"
"Sounds good! Oh, I almost forgot!"
Head nurse clapped her hands together
"The group that sent our new staff has 3 ranks for these conditions! The one we are getting is in the second group or something not sure what that me-"
"Second ranking means more strength and movement speed, but less sanity and intelligence"
Nyx the black feline interrupted without looking up
"Ohh is that a good thing?" Head nurse blinked
"Depends…I would say maybe since this job takes a lot of dealing with anomalies"
Nyx hummed flicking his tail
"Wow you seem to know about that!"
"I would be dumb if I didn't know.."
Nyx muttered
Not long after the chime above the entrance door rang
Everyone turned around to the source of the sound
Stepping through the doorway there was a towering, tan rabbit wearing a white mask with an eerie smile face painted on it. They stopped slightly to avoid hitting their head on the doorframe, clutching a small worn bag tightly in their gloved hands
"Hello… I'm the new employee here"
The tan rabbit said their voice quiet and muffled by their face
There was a moment of silence everyone was speechless
Secretary looked up at the tan rabbit a look of shock on his face
"Hey uhm little lad…you can uh-"
So huge!! The head nurse squeaked internally
"Hey!! Guh-"
Head nurse stepped in and put both of her hands firmly on secretary's shoulder weighing him down with an overly bright smile
"Welcome welcome! You can come here by the door right beside you!"
"Heyy! Get off me,!!"
The secretary huffed trying to shake her off
Intern gave a polite nod and opened the door their long broad frame much clearer up close
"Ok so I will start with getting to know everyone's name and role for a start my name is Liz the head nurse"
"This lazy sheep is our security that you're going to be training with first today"
"I'm not lazy!" Bell grumbled. "What kind of introduction is that??"
Lix completely ignored him and turned around to the nurse
"This is Pom our nurse me and her will help you learn how to handle the patients!"
As Pom's eyes met the giant new intern she jolted her ears pinning back as she quickly avoided their gaze
"Uh haha well and that deer is our surgeon Steve"
Lix pointed to an annoyed looking deer
"He is responsible for room 6,7 and 8. Currently no one can enter these rooms except me and Steve ... .And if you're good enough maybee…ahem you'll get to be in a surgery room…"
"NO Lix! We are NOT talking about this again no one enters my surgery room! No one touch my stuff no one can breathe in there"
"Oh come on!" Lix rolled her eyes "Ok then don't go crying about how overworked you are when we offered to help"
"Oh yeah like hell I'll do you people are UNBEARABLE"
Steve hissed before leaving the register and shutting the door violently behind him
"Hah.. sorry you had to see that..!"
Lix sighed rubbing her temples
"I'd recommend not coming close to him for a while.. I'll introduce you to everyone left ,then you can start your training"
Lix pointed at a grey cat and a black feline cat
"This is our security Lyn!"
"Hello big fella nice to meet ya!" Lyn waved cheerfully unbothered by his size
"And right beside her is Nyx! He usually isn't here but today was special so I had to drag him"
Nyx didn't even bother looking up from his coffee, merely flicking his tail in a half-hearted acknowledgment.
Intern listened quietly before tilting their massive head
"Is that…. everything..?"
"Yep yep! Haha"
Nurse clapped her hands
"Now everyone shoo away and Lyn stay at cams this shift please"
"You got it!"
Bell adjusted his posture putting a hand on one of his cheeks as he looked up at the giant intern
"Uhm so you can sit at the other window...oh and do… you have a name?"
The tan rabbit paused for a second their ears twitching
"You can just call me Intern"
"Oh um ok…?"
Intern sat at the other register window their chair creaking slightly under their weight they carefully placed their small bag on their lap wrapping both hands around it as they waited
The chime on the door rang again
"Ok Intern watch what I'm doing because you are gonna copy me later"
Bell muttered straightening his posture as the patient walked in
"Hello ma'am how can I help you"
"I wanna fill in as a patient"
"Please fill this form for me first please"
Bell said sliding a paper and a pen across the counter
The patient took a pen from secretary and started filling the form once done they handed it back
"Alr looks good please stand still I'm gonna take a picture"
FLASH
The camera clicked and Bell glanced at the photo before turning around looking at Lyn
"Lyn, does everything look good on the cams?"
"Seems fine to me!"
"Alr"
Intern simply tracked the process in silence
After confirming the patient was normal Bell typed into the computer to register the patient After that he printed a small badge
"Here's your badge you can go to room 1"
"Alright ,thx!"
As the patient walked away Bell leaned back in his chair folding his arms as he turned around looking at Intern
"Do you have any questions?"
"No" Intern replied their voice calm
Bell squeezed his eyes slightly testing the waters
"I think you understand why we do this right? Since you know you're an anomaly..?"
The intern stayed silent for a brief moment before adjusting their grip on the small bag in their lap
"Yes, I was informed beforehand about how to work in this hospital"
The chime on the door rang again
"It's your turn"
Intern nodded
As the patient walked to the register they seemed to be intimidated by the mask until they recognized it
"Uh I wanna check in as a patient"
The patient said avoiding direct eye contact with the masked tan rabbit
Intern grabbed a paper and pen and slid it to the patient
"Please fill this form"
Intern said voice muffled behind the mask
Once the patient finished it and handed it back. Intern checked the form silently and reached for the camera
FLASH
As the patient jolted at the sudden action Intern checked the picture Bell leaned closer taking a peek at the picture
"The cameras look good!" Lyn chirped
"The picture also looks good you can go ahead and register them"
Intern went to the computer and started typing in before printing a badge
"You can go ahead to room 2"
"Oh thank you.."
The patient said without looking at the intern walking away quickly
"You did good for your first time!" Lyn said cheerfully
"Yes good job Intern"
Intern looked at both of them before looking down
"Thanks…"
Bell stretched before resting his head flat on the counter
"Yawn I'm just ah gonna take a short nap"
"Wow…the shift just started"
Lyn chuckled amused by the sheep's laziness she stood up and went to the coffee machine before heading to Intern's way
"Take this coffee it's a good way to raise your sanity ahem I think Bell is going to throw all the work at you for this shift coffee is needed"
Intern took the warm coffee a long thin tongue extended from under the mask
"Thank you…"
Lyn gulped at the long anomaly tongue that appeared
"Haha…uh np!"
In a fast motion Intern took off the mask and chugged the entire cup of hot coffee in one gulp
"Woah nice chug ..! I hope the coffee didn't burn your tongue" Lyn blinked in surprise
Intern looked at Lyn and chuckled slightly
"I'm fine don't worry"
"If you say so"
After a couple more routine patients and hours passed by Lyn and Intern would have small chats from time to time Intern seemingly enjoying Lyn’s company.
The chime rang again a new patient staggered into the lobby, looking weak and tired as the patient stumbled into the register Intern welcomed them with their usual line
"How can-"
THUD
The patient laid unconscious on the floor. Intern panicking immediately stood up leaving the register room and scooping them up with ease
Lyn saw what happened and shouted to them
"Dw about it big dawg patients faint all the time just go to Pom and Lix they'll handle it in no time"
Intern nodded at Lyn's words running to the only available room.which was room number 4 Lix and Pom were in the hallways taking medication for other patients as they noticed the big tan rabbit rushing holding an unconscious animal
"What happened? You seem in a hurry…is that a patient?"
Lix walked closer seeing the unconscious animal in the intern's hand made her nod
"Oh it is a patient ! You can go ahead and put them in room 4 it's the only room available"
Intern stepped in placing the patient down on the white bed, Liz followed Intern Pom following her Lix scooted closer to the patient and took a sample of the DNA and put it in the machine
Before the machine could even finish analyzing the patient laying on the bed jolted awake violently
They started making creaked inhuman sounds their head snapped backwards their jaw split open unnaturally wide revealing rows of terrifyingly long sharp teeth and a long wet tongue writhing in the air
"ANOMALY??" Pom stumbled backward her expression filled with pure horror
"Ugh.. not again ..Intern could you please call Nyx or Lyn over!" Lix shouted holding her ground in a defensive stance "They can deal with them I don't have anything to deal with this right now"
Intern stood frozen not aware of their surroundings
"Intern! Are you ok?!" Lix yelled
The anomaly hissed at the two nurses prepared to lunge at them Lix stayed in a defensive mode putting both of her hands in front of her while Pom hid behind her
Without a single word a broad shadowy figure reached behind the anomaly Intern's big hand reached to grab the anomaly's neck. Grabbing their fingers tightly around their neck
"Intern...?" Lix muttered confused
The creature thrashed desperately trying to whip its long tongue around, creaking sounds coming from it but the intern's grip was like a vice grip
Intern didn't hesitate with raw strength, Intern simply squeezed
CRUNCH-SPLASH
They crushed the neck completely in their palm the anomaly's head hanging loosely out of place as splatters of a green slimy liquid and blood splashed around the walls the floors and drenching the two frozen nurses and the intern
Seconds later the door opened violently making the two nurses jolt awake from their shock
"Is everyone ok-!?" Lyn entered with a taser in her hand Nyx was next to her having a gun drawn and ready
Silence filled the place only the sound of the slime dropping
"...What..."
"Uh sorry about that.. Pom..Lix.."
Intern said with a low tone
Intern flicked a blob of green liquid off their fingers
"Room 4 needs to be sanitized"
