Work Text:
Maya wouldn't call herself a party person, per se, but she usually enjoy them. Especially when the other party-goers have similar minds to her own. For some reason, this evening's is just.. lacking. Maybe because no one here actually cares about their work. It's all about profit with these assholes.
Not that the profit isn't great. It is. She doubts she'd be doing as much as she does without it. But it's definitely not the biggest part of the job. Not for her, at least.
"Hi. Dr. Hansen, right?"
May hums, turning to face the person now standing by her side. Definitely a journalist, hot. Hopefully good enough at her job to be somewhat entertaining. "And you are?"
"Christine Everhart, Vanity Fair magazine. I just wanted to ask you a couple questions."
That was two hours ago. Maya's pretty sure the interview's over. Christine hasn't asked a question about her work in maybe 20 minutes. She's not sure. She doesn't even know when the switch happened. Just that one second she'd been talking about extremis, and the next they're discussing coffee shops.
She supposes that's fine, though. She did ask for entertainment, after all. She just hadn't expected this kind.
