   Summary

   One cold day in 1429, Jeanne d’Arc arrives in Vaucouleurs and turns Jean de Metz’s life upside down. At first he just sees her as a pest, with her unceasing entreaties to be taken to the Dauphin in Chinon…but then momentous things start to happen, and he finds himself being drawn into her mission.
