Sonic the Hedgehog, the hero that everyone loves. He and his friends are known for beating Egg man every week or so, and gets lots of glory from it. Sonic and his friends are the perfect friend group, and they trust each other with whatever they need.
One day, Sonic went up to Tail's workshop, as he does every morning.
"Hey bud! What goes on?" The little fox looked up from his work, and answered. "Hey Sonic, Nothing much really, but we did get a new neighbor in Green Hills! She seems really nice, You should go visit her, I haven't got the chance yet."
"Good idea! I'll be back in a bit!" As Sonic ran to the new house down the street, some thoughts popped in his mind. I hope she can fight in battle with us, it would be nice especially since Egg man was really pissed last time. Maybe she's REALLY strong!"
Before he knew it, he was in front of the new girl's house. Okay Sonic, breathe, you got this, DON'T mess this up.
He knocked on the door, and he waited for quite a bit. After a while, the door, peeked a bit open and Sonic could see a beautiful pink hedgehog looking at him.
"Oh, hey! My name's Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog! I live down the street from you! What's your name?"
The pink lady pointed to the sign next to her door. Of course, Sonic should have seen it, it was very clear. The sign read, "Amy Rose".
"Amy Rose, huh? That's a beautiful name!"
Amy started shaking a bit, clearly being in a state of nervousness, and Sonic could tell.
"Uh, why don't you come out for a bit, I'll take you to meet my best friend, Tails!"
WHY I'M I BEING SO STRAIGHTFORWARD?? SHE'S CLEARLY NERVOUS!
The blue hedgehog started overthinking a bit, but in the mist of all of it, he saw Amy standing at her door, still shaking, and waiting for him to say something.
"Ah, sorry, let's get going!"
Why is this girl so quiet? Is she nervous? Maybe I should ask her?
"So, uh, do you like talking? N-not to be rude, of course, I'm just asking for future purposes!" Ugh, way to go Sonic, She's gonna think you're a creep.
After that question, Amy started shaking even more.
"So that's a no?"
Amy nodded, clearly showing some signs of discomfort.
Huh, maybe Amy.. is uncomfortable with talking? I forgot the term.. Oh yeah! Ochlophobia! That's probably it, I should ask her, being straight forward would probably get this friendship moving faster.
"Hey.. Amy.. Do you have Ochlophobia?"
Amy tilted her head a bit, looking confused.
"Oh! It means you get nervous when you talk to people, like freezing up and stuff like that."
Amy shrugged, and looked down, looking embarrassed and a bit ashamed.
"N-no! It's fine! In fact, when we get to Tails' house, I'll get you something!"
On the rest of the way, Sonic made sure to walk at her speed, but it was quite hard for him, since Amy was walking quite timidly. Sonic wondered why he was doing all this for her. Maybe it's cause Amy was gorgeous, or maybe Sonic wanted a new friend? Whatever the reason, Sonic was determined to make Amy feel comfortable.
On the way, Sonic talked about all his friends, what he does, and basically everything in his life, he was oversharing.
When they finally reached Tails' house, Sonic yelled for Tails.
"Tails!! I brought out new neighbor!!"
Amy jumped a few steps back by how startled he was, and was certainly shaking a lot more, she was not prepared to meet Tails.
"It's fine Amy! Tails is just like me, you'll be fine!"
This time Sonic walked over, and opened the door for Amy, all in silence, unusual for Sonic The Hedgehog.
"Hey Tails! I brought our new neighbor over! Come say hi!"
Amy started shaking again, and Sonic immediately jumped in.
"Amy! It's fine! Trust me, Tails is the sweetest person ever!"
Tails walked into the room, and Tails started to introduce himself, and unlike Sonic, he caught on quick and made Amy feel welcome. While Tails was doing his introduction, Sonic ran out to buy a notebook. He looked through the whole shop, looking for the most beautiful notebook he could find, until he finally found one. It was the shade of Amy's quills, and had a strap that went around the notebook.
Sonic ran back to Tails' house, and found Tails and Amy getting along quite well actually.
"Here, Amy, I got you this notebook so we could talk to each other!"
Amy took the notebook and pen, and wrote "Thank you"
"You're welcome! Now, I've gotta ask, what is your life goal?"
Amy took a second to think about it, and wrote something down. When she flipped it over, it read, "I want to make lots and lots of friends."
"Well, Amy Rose! I'll be your first friend! And I'll help you meet all of my friends! And you'll have dozens!"
"Yea, and I'll be your second!"
Amy's eyes gleamed at the thought, and wrote down on her notebook, "Thank you so much"
I don't know what came over Sonic that day, but he was determined to get closer to Amy Rose, and help her with her goal!
