Fun fact: Rocky's language (Not the only one Eridians have! But they don't have quite as many as Earth, presumably because they live so much longer. Or maybe because their memories are so good, I don't know, I'm not a linguist) loves declension. It's a real pity Ilyukhina isn't here, she would definitely be picking it all up quicker than I am.
"Uh," I say. "Partner, I guess? But that's not exclusively platonic, and you aren't usually… married? Eridians marry friends?"
"Some friends," Rocky says, as if the distinction should be obvious. "Best friends. Most best friends. Rocky marry Grace, question?"
