   Max blinks. "I mean, I guess I am technically not." He frowns. "Why?"
   "Uh," Luis rubs the back of his head. Maybe it's Max's imagination, but he looks nervous. "Would you want to join Red and I on an outing?"
   "An outing?" Hazel blinks. "You sure have interesting words for a date."
   Luis flushes red. "Its not a date! It's an outing among friends."
   "Back on the isle, we just call that a date."
   Luis blinks. "Do you not have friends on the isle?"
   "No," Hazel responds deadpan. "You have those that are above you, and those that are below you."
   "That doesn't make sense; you most likely,"
   "Ignore her." Max turns, glaring at Hazel, who just smiles. "She's kidding. Probably. Anyway," Max tries to calm his beating heart. "Yes, I would like to join you."
