Summary:

When they kissed for the first time it was weird. Not “I feel something dancing in my stomach” weird, but a “what the hell is happening” kind of weird.

Notes:

Work Text:

When they kissed for the first time it was strange. Not strange “I feel something dancing in my stomach” strange, but “what the hell is happening” strange.

Akutagawa and Atsushi were fighting once again. It has become their rotine, doing their missions and accidentally meeting each other to swear and give some punches that weren't actually meant to hurt. They couldn't talk normally, none of them would ever admit what was going on there, the only thing they could do was this stupid acting, every week, just so they could see each other a little bit, fulfill that need they had even if through hate promises.

And so there they were again, in that same rooftop of that abandoned building. Akutagawa glared at those purple eyes and smirked, Rashomon was a few centimetres away from his face, ready to eat him out out of this world.

“What now, little tiger?” The older boy smiled brightly and Atsushi glared at him. One of his arms and legs were in his tiger form and he thought about jumping to get to Akutagawa and kick him in the face like he deserved, but rashomon was so close, he didn't know if Akutagawa’s reaction time was fast enough to get him, but he decided not to underestimate the mafia boy.

Suddenly, the black beast disappeared and Atsushi saw his back against something. Akutagawa was pressing his body to trap him on the wall, their faces were really close and the taller one grabbed Atsushi’s shoulders.

“You think I'm an idiot, don't you?” The tiger frowned hearing the sentence. “You think I haven't noticed those looks you give me?” Ryuunosuke leaned closer, one of his hands stopped on the other's hips. Nakajima bites his lower lip trying to think straight.

“What about you, mafia kid?” He chuckled. “What about the looks you give me?” It was Akutagawa’s turn to look embarrassed. And before he could say anything, before he could beat the shit out of that miserable tiger or even before he could run away from these feelings that were bothering him in the past month, Atsuhi kissed him.

It was just a soft touch. Just their lips smashed together into that weird hurricane that were their heads in that moment.

The younger boy grabbed Akutagawa’s arms, afraid he'd leave him alone. He didn't want to stop that kiss, even if it was just a simple touch, it was him showing his affection towards that stupid motherfucker.

How had he fallen for someone so cold and inhuman? A monster like Akutagawa should disgust him, that man didn't respect life, and yet, he was all Atsushi could think of, his hair, his face, his words, his story. They were so alike and yet they were from different sides, was that fair? Shouldn't they be together?

That sweet kiss turned bitter as he thought about those things, and he had to get away from the other so he could recover his conscience.

Akutagawa was paralyzed, shocked by the audacity of that tiger. He looked into the other's eyes, but they were no longer human. In front of him, the white tiger ran away, leaving him alone in that rooftop, feeling the cold wind play with his hair. In that silent night, with more visible stars than usual, Akutagawa smiled honestly.

“Oh, my little tiger, if only you knew.”
