Work Text:

Gotak had asked him a few weeks ago if he wanted to come along on his family’s holiday trip, and back then it seemed like an amazing idea obviously... But now that it’s only a few days away, Juntae has begun to have some second thoughts on the whole situation.

Yeah, of course Gotak’s family adores the hell out of him, they tell him he’s welcome in their home whenever he’s feeling lonely (and they also might’ve stated that they love him more than Gotak himself). But still! What happens if he gets too annoying while they’re trying to relax, or maybe he doesn’t like the food they’ve ordered, or maybe he sleeps in too much, or maybe he hogs too much of Gotak’s time, or may—

“Jun, are you even listening?”

“Huh? What?”

“You were spacing out, I was asking if you’d packed yet for Thursday.”

“Oh, right! Yeah, I packed when you left my place last night.” And that wasn’t a lie, he did pack once Gotak left, even if it did take him 3 hours to decide what he definitely needed, and what he could leave behind for a week. “Can we go pick it up tomorrow morning? Your bed is way too comfy.”

Gotak huffs out a laugh, “Sure thing, Jun.” He leans back against the wall, slotting an arm behind Juntae’s head so that he could go back to watching the tv. It’s silent for not even 2 minutes before Gotak speaks up again, “So, what was on your mind earlier?”

“What?”

“See, you’re still up in that head of yours, what’s going on?” Gotak leans back to get a better look at Juntae’s face, as if he was studying his every thought, like he already knew what was on Juntae’s mind, “Come on, you know you can talk to me.”

“It’s nothing, promise. Can we just go back to the show… please.” Juntae looks away, not wanting to see the look on Gotak’s face.

“Are you seriously that nervous about the trip? You know they love you way more than me, it’s not like I can blame them though, you’re perfect.”

“You’re just saying that because I’m your boyfriend.” He pouts, still not able to make eye contact.

“Hey, look at me,” Gotak tilts Juntae’s head up, ”You are perfect and I’m not the only one that can see that and I know you know this too. I mean, come on, my little sisters are constantly talking about you 24/7; asking me when the next time Juntae Oppa is coming over. My parents are always questioning how I even ended up with someone as sweet, and caring as you. And my Noona only ever comes over when she’s certain you’ll be here too, so when I say I’m not the only one who sees the beauty in you, you just have to trust me. Can you trust me Seo Juntae?”

“Of course I trust you, Tak-ah, how could I not?” Juntae smiles, tears welling up in his eyes.

“Good.” Gotak reaches out to hold his face, thumb wiping away the tears, “cause we both know I’m right. Now, come on, you’re tired, let’s sleep.”

“Yeah, you’re right… Thanks, Tak-ah,” he replies softly as they lie back down, turning the tv off in the process, “I love you.”

“I love you too, now go to sleep, you’re a pain to wake up in the morning.”

Gotak leans over, reaching for Juntae’s glasses to take them off, before kissing him on the forehead and lying back down to sleep, snuggling into Juntae’s back.

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“You didn’t have to get us our own room, you know?”

“I didn’t want my family bothering us every chance they got, thought it would be nice to have a break after spending all day with them,” Gotak says whilst putting their suitcases down at the foot of the bed. He walks back over to Juntae to stand behind him, resting his chin on his shoulder, “Why? Do you not like it?.”

“I love it! I mean I— well it’ll be nice to, you know, have a break, right?” Juntae sputters awkwardly, most definitely going red in the face. What? It’s not like he can help it, Gotak has a way with words.

“You’re cute. Come on, let's unpack.”

“You’re so mean…” Juntae mumbles as he watches Gotak crouch down to unzip his own suitcase, “Fine, whatever.”

Once they finished unpacking, Juntae didn’t even get the chance to relax before he was pulled into Gotak’s lap, “What are you doing?!”

“Calm down, I checked the time, we have about 20 minutes until we need to leave.”

“And you’re not just saying this to convince me, right?” Juntae says as he snakes his arms around Gotak’s neck.

“I’d never do such a thing,” their lips brush as Gotak speaks, “what kinda guy do you take me for Seo Juntae, huh?”

“Guess I’m gonna have to find out,” he breathes out in a hushed tone before finally connecting their lips. Gotak grasps onto Juntae’s waist, the sounds of their kisses filling the room.

“You sound so beautiful,” Gotak whispers as he brings his mouth to Juntae’s jaw working his way down to his neck, Juntae whimpers in response, “so beautiful.”

“Juntae Oppa!” The door flung open and in came running Gotak’s two little twin sisters, “are you ready for food?! I can’t wait to eat, Eomma said it’s gonna be way better than what we have back at home.”

Juntae pushes himself away from Gotak’s lap, prying his hands from his waist, almost falling off the bed if it weren't for Gotak catching him, “Aish! What are you idiots doing in our room, you almost made Juntae fall, shitheads!” He yells while keeping a protective arm wrapped around Juntae, “You two should learn how to knock or else I’m telling Appa.”

The girls begin to giggle, knowing it was an empty threat, “Well then, I guess I’ll just have to tell Appa and Eomma what you were getting up to with Juntae, right?”

“You wouldn’t dare.”

Both of the girls look at each other and laugh before running out the door, Gotak stands up to chase after them, but Juntae reaches for his hand and pulls him back towards the bed, “Hey, just leave it, you know they’re only doing it cause you’re easy to rile up.”

He huffs in response, the biggest scowl on his face, “They just had to get in the way, couldn't keep themselves away from you for just one second.”

“You’re acting as if you’re the only one who can have my attention.” Juntae laughs at his pettiness.

“Well, I’m the only one who deserves it,” Gotak replies, attempting to set the mood again.

“Yeah, slow down big guy, it’s time for lunch.” Juntae grabs his hand, slowly lifting him from the bed and towards the door, “we’re gonna be late if you keep moping around like this, come on.”

“Fine, but we’re continuing this later.”

“Sure, whatever you say, Tak-ah.”

They open the door and walk towards the living room, only to be greeted by Gotak’s entire family, “Took you two boys long enough, what were you guys doing for so long, you had the least to unpack,” Gotak’s father questions with suspicion.

“Ah! We just lost track of time unpacking, Abeonim, we’re sorry, right, Tak-ah?” Juntae says as he elbows Gotak in the side to get a response out of him as well.

“Yeah sure, what he said.” As if he couldn’t sound any less unbothered.

“As if that’s what happened, real good cover up Jun-ah,” Gotak’s older sister, Go Hyunjung, laughs, “Hyunji and Hyuna caught you guys in the act and you really wanna try to come up with an excuse?”

Juntae blushes as he tries to come up with another way to defend himself, Gotak takes that as his cue to step in, and become the knight in shining armour that he is, “Yeah, and so what if we were, it’s not as if the door was wide open inviting all of you in.”

Juntae just wishes the floor could open up and swallow him whole, Gotak was not making their situation any better in the slightest, “I think they get the point… You can stop talking now.”

Gotak glances over at Juntae, and sees a look of anger flash through his eyes, a look he’s only seen maybe once or twice, so he uses this as an indication to stop talking. For the rest of the day. Maybe even for the rest of the trip too.

“This is getting lame now, can't we just go eat,” Hyunji asks impatiently, “I’m starving! So hungry I might even die!”

“Alright, alright. Let’s get moving everyone, wouldn’t want the little devils to eat us, now would we?” Gotak’s father laughs as he leads everyone out the door.

“I mean, we almost got away with it, right?”

“Go Hyuntak, I do not want to hear another word from you.”

“Yes sir.”

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“Woah… Tak-ah, look! There’s so many options to choose from, I don’t even know what to get,” Juntae looks at the menu in awe, “maybe I’ll get the Dwaeji Gukbap, hmm or maybe the Milmyeon noodles. I don't know, what do you think?”

“Hey, slow down, get whatever you like, babe, it's all inclusive, remember?"

Juntae blushes at the nickname, “Haha, yeah, how could I forget!”

“Really? Babe? You’re such a loser, Hyuntak,” Hyunjung mocks without even looking up from her menu, “Juntae, how do you even put up with him?”

“I mean, it’s not that hard, he always just does whatever I say.”

“Juntae… don’t say that. You’re supposed to take my side, defend me, not make me look like a brainless idiot…”

“But you are a brainless idiot, idiot.” Hyunji snickers.

“Yah!” Gotak reaches over the table in an attempt to whack his sister across the arm, yet as he’s doing so his sudden movement causes him to knock over Juntae’s full glass of water, spilling all over the poor boy and soaking his trousers.

He didn't even get the chance to take a sip yet, “Hyuntak! Oh dear, Juntae, darling are you okay? Here, take this tissue and wipe yourself down.”

He doesn’t take it, instead he abruptly stands, glaring at Gotak, “It’s fine, I’ll just go back to the room to dry myself off and change,” he turns to the rest of the family with a forced smile before leaving the table, “you guys just enjoy the food, don’t worry about me.”

Gotak watches Juntae’s back as he leaves and looks down at his lap. He can’t even bring himself to look at anyone after embarrassing Juntae like that, what kind of boyfriend would be so stupid? Especially after Juntae had told him about how worried he was about making a fool of himself in front of Gotak’s family.

“Are you just gonna sit there and think about what you just did, or are you gonna go after Juntae like a real man would?” Hyunjung asks with slight disappointment in her voice, “I mean, come on. I’m surprised your first reaction wasn’t to run after him.”

Gotak looks up in shame, not getting an ounce of sympathy from anyone. He stands up and knocks his chair back with a sheer amount of force before taking off after Juntae, hoping he didn’t get too far.

“That boy, honestly, what are we to do with him,” Gotak’s mother shakes her head.

“Ahh, you know he’ll make it up to Juntae, those two are inseparable.”

…

“Does this mean I can’t style Juntae Oppa’s hair anymore?” Hyuna whines.

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

Gotak comes to a stop once he sees Juntae walk into the elevator, “Juntae! Keep it open please, I need to apologise for earlier, it was an accident I swear!” Yet the moment he takes a  step closer, he watches Juntae press the button to shut the door, “You’ve got to be joking with me…”

He doesn’t waste any more time, sprinting towards the stairs, taking them two at a time just to reach their floor faster. He reaches the top completely out of breath, leaning on the wall to recover when he hears the elevator bell ring. He looks over to his right and makes eye contact with Juntae. His Seo Juntae, who he upset.

“You, Go Hyuntak, are unbelievable.”

“Jun-ah, you don't even have the room key, what were you thinking?”

“What were you thinking?”

“Me? What are you even talking about, it was just a glass of water.”

“Right. Yeah, okay.”

“Seriously, Juntae, it can’t be that deep.”

“It’s not just about the water Hyuntak!”

“What?”

“I’m not arguing with you in the hallway, give me the key.”

“Fuck. Here, take it.” He hands the key over to Juntae and watches him try to open the door with shaky hands. He suddenly drops the key on the floor and they both make the move to pick it up, grabbing it at the same time. Juntae snatches it back into his possession, finally opening the door, and shutting it straight in Gotak’s face.

“Yah! Seo Juntae, open this door! Come on, you know that I’ll walk all the way down to the front desk just to get—” he pauses realising the door wasn't even locked, “stupid fucking pull doors, whatever.”

He takes his shoes off and takes cautious steps towards their bedroom door that’s now shut, definitely where Juntae’s hiding out. As he opens the door he sees Juntae’s trousers crumpled up on the floor and a Juntae shaped figure hiding under the blanket. He guesses Juntae didn't hear him enter the room, because just as he was about to call out his name, he hears a soft sob.

“Junie…” Gotak doesn’t think he’s ever heard his voice so quiet, only when he’s with Juntae can he be so gentle, “Hey, can you speak to me? Please?”

Still, all that he could hear were the muffled cries from Juntae.

“I didn’t mean to upset you this much aegi, please just talk to me, tell me what’s bothering you so much so that I can fix it.”

Juntae sits up and makes direct eye contact with Gotak, not once looking away, “I’ve never been on holiday, Gotak. I never got to experience anything like this, not even on school trips, so I wanted this first trip away with your family to be perfect. I didn’t want to make a fool of myself, especially not in front of them, but all that’s happened so far is exactly that!” He pauses, catching his breath, “I know this isn’t even a big deal to you, and I’m just being overdramatic, but I just hoped that, of all people, you would understand me—”

“Jun-ah, I do, I do understand you! I just need you to talk to me, open up to me. You didn’t make a fool of yourself, trust me, if you could’ve seen the way everyone was looking at me on that table once you’d left you’d understand. If anything, I’m the biggest fool on this earth, maybe the biggest fool in the universe for upsetting you like this. But just know, I will make it up to you, Juntae, I always will. There isn't a day that goes by where I’m not thinking about you and how you feel, you’ve got a special place in my heart and an even bigger space in my head. So please, talk to me, because I hope that you know I’d be the first to listen.”

That’s what did it for Juntae, he couldn’t help it. He broke down, tears streaming down his face, certainly not an attractive sight.

Yet, that didn’t stop Gotak from pulling him into his chest so that he could hide away from the world, in the arms of the one who loved him the most.

“I love you, Seo Juntae, I love you more than words could ever say, and I hope you never forget that. I’ll make it up to you, I’ll make sure you enjoy every second of this trip, and I’ll make you understand that you could do anything, and I’d still only see perfection.”

“You… You mean that?” His words were broken up by his crying.

“I’d never lie to you, ever.”

Juntae could only nod in response, too worn out to even speak, but Gotak knew everything was going to be okay. He knew he had Juntae’s trust the second he realised the door was never fully closed.

He allowed Juntae to let out his emotions for a few more minutes before gently laying them both down on the bed, not even bothering to get changed, he didn't want to ruin the tranquility that spread throughout the bedroom. With Juntae’s chin tucked under his head, he brought the covers up to assure Juntae would be comfortable. Seconds later, he heard the soft snores coming from his boyfriend and that’s when he allowed himself to press a tender kiss to the top of his head before falling asleep himself, a smile resting on his face.

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

Of course with the likes of Gotak’s family around, sleep didn't last very long, “Juntae Oppa!” Both of the twins came bouncing into the room, straight towards the two boys on the bed, “Quick you have you wake up, we’re going to the beach today! Come on, stop being so lazy!”

Gotak grumbles, his words intelligible but his anger was still caught through the tone of voice.

“Nobody was talking to you, idiot. We want Juntae Oppa.” Hyunji retorts.

Now that’s what causes Gotak to sit up, making Juntae fall back into the pillows with the loss of the arm that was supporting him, “Aish, he’s my boyfriend you know, why can’t you guys knock like normal people, let us go back to sleep.”

“Don’t go back to sleep! Eomma told us to wake you up because you weren’t answering the phone.” The lack of response from the boys sets the girls off even more, this time actually jumping on the bed to get their attention.

“Okay, we’ll get ready, just leave the room, Jesus.”

“Eww, you’re getting changed together?”

“Get out!”

The two girls rush back to their room before Gotak can even think about getting up to run after them, Juntae grasps onto his arm, “Like I said before, you’re way too easy to rile up. Come on, help me choose an outfit.”

“Give me a kiss first, and I’ll think about it,” he teases, the slightest smirk showing on his face.

“Seriously? I’m sure you can live without it.”

“Not even a small peck? Juntae-yah.”

“Help me choose a shirt, and I might give in.”

He doesn’t think he's ever seen Gotak move so fast in his life.

“I still don’t know why they had to wake us up so early,” Gotak groans as he applies sunscreen on Juntae’s back, “I mean seriously, it’s not even 9AM.”

“Stop complaining and enjoy the view, it’s so pretty.”

“Oh, I’m enjoying the view alright.”

Juntae turns his neck to look at him, only to see Gotak’s eyes trailing up and down his body, “Go Hyuntak! What do you think you’re doing?” Slapping his shoulder in retaliation.

“What? I’m just doing what you told me to.” Dabbing a little bit of the cream on Juntae’s nose.

“You’re so stupid,”

“Juntae Oppa! Are you coming into the water with us?” The twins come barreling over for Juntae’s attention.

“Hah! I’m here too, you know?”

“We can see that, but we want Juntae to play mermaids with us, you would never do that!” Causing Gotak to huff in response muttering under his breath.

“Hmm, I’m not sure…”

“Please, Juntae Oppa! We’ll have so much fun!”

“Your brother and I just put sunscreen on, and besides, isn't the water too cold?”

He shouldn’t have even responded, the second he does he sees that mischievous glint in Gotak’s eyes, and immediately regrets every decision he’s ever made, “Too cold you say? Guess we’re gonna have to find out,” and he doesn’t even get the chance to get away before he feels Gotak’s hands slip under his knees and around his back.

“Tak-ah! Put me down!” he squeals, hitting Gotak on the chest in an attempt to escape his grasp. All he gets in response is a laugh as Gotak makes a beeline straight towards the sea.

One second he’s in Gotak’s arms, then the next he’s practically being dropped into ice. That doesn’t stop him from latching onto whatever he can, pulling Gotak down under with him.

“Fuck! It’s freezing!” Gotak yells out as his head reemerges from the water, shaking his hair, wetting Juntae even more.

“Stop doing that, you’re such a dog! And I told you it would be!”

“I can tell you’re not actually angry, Jun-ah, you’re trying not to smile.”

“Shut up, bring me back to the towel, I need to dry off and so do you”

“Alright, prince Juntae, let’s go.” He scoops him back up into his arms, walking them back towards the sand. After setting Juntae down he grabs an extra towel, sitting down behind him to dry the boy’s hair.

“You’re gonna have to redo my back as well.”

“Gladly.”

“Go Hyuntak!”

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“I’m glad your Eomma let us come back to the beach alone, it’s so pretty when the sun's setting.” Juntae speaks softly as they walk along the pier, hand in hand.

“It’s nice, I like it when it’s just the two of us.”

Juntae hums in response, a smile sneaking its way onto his face, like he can’t stop his emotions from spilling out whenever he's around Gotak.

“You know what would make this even better, though?”

“What is it?”

“Ice cream, and I already know the perfect place,” Gotak watches Juntae’s face light up and he laughs at the expression, “You’re acting as if you've never been on a late night ice cream trip.”

Juntae mumbles something unintelligible that Gotak doesn’t really catch.

“Juntae?”

“I said, it's because I haven't…"

“Oh,” Gotak mentally hits himself for being so oblivious, “Well, I guess I’ll just have to set the bar high for your first time.”

“Thanks, Tak-ah.” He replies as he’s dragged into the small shop nestled in between the other buildings.

As they walk inside, the bell hung on the door rings and they’re welcomed by the girl standing behind the counter, “Take a seat, I’ll be with you guys in just a sec.”

“Okay, thank you!” Juntae replies with a smile whilst leading him and Gotak to the booth by the window, “It’s so cozy in here, I wonder what kind of desserts they make!”

“We do everything here,” the girl walks over, startling the two of them, "here's your menus, just shout over when you’re ready to order.”

“Tak-ah, look! They have strawberry bingsu! Oh and look at the cakes, they look too good I don't even know what to get.” Juntae whines at the excessive amount of options laid out in front of him.

“Get anything you want, sweetheart, I’m paying.”

“If you keep looking at him like that, he's gonna turn into the desert dude.”

“Aish! Scared the fucking shit out of me.”

“Have you guys decided yet?”

“Yeah, a strawberry bingsu and a slice of goguma cake, thanks.” Juntae looks up in surprise at the sound of Gotak ordering both of the desserts.

“Great choice! Won’t be long.” She winks at them before walking off.

“You didn’t have to order both just because I pointed them out, this place looks expensive!"

“To see that look on your face, I’d spend all I have.” and Juntae knows he’s telling the truth.

He covers the redness on his cheeks with his hands, muttering out a weak stop it, while Gotak just laughs at him, “You’re just too easy to tease, Jun-ah.”

“You’re so mean,” Juntae sighs as he moves his hands away from his face, picking up one of the napkins on the table to distract himself from his boyfriend's antics.

Yet, it doesn't last very long before Gotak reaches out to hold them instead, “Hmm, I’m so glad you’re here with me.”

“Why are you being so cheesy all of a sudden?”

“I’m just happy.”

“You guys are so strange, it reminds me of my friends back home,“ the girl looks down for a second before snapping back up, “Uh, anyways, here’s your order, enjoy.”

Gotak gets ready to dig straight into the cake until he notices Juntae looking over his shoulder back at the girl, “What? What is it, Juntae?”

“That girl…” he leans over the table to whisper, “I feel like I know her, I’ve seen her somewhere.”

“How? You’ve never been to Busan before?”

“Well, yeah… but she said back home, were you not listening?”

“Not… really, I was too busy staring down the cake.”

“Of course. It’s fine, I’m not even surprised.”

“So I can eat now?”

“Sure, Tak-ah, go for it.” He replies with a small laugh as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, typing something into his search bar as he scrolls with a puzzled look on his face. He’s so lost in thought, he blinks in shock when he feels something cold touch his lips.

“Yah, your ice cream’s gonna melt.”

“Thanks, Tak-ah.” He says with his mouth full.

“Stop talking while you’re eating, you’re making a mess,” he reaches out with his thumb, wiping the corner of Juntae’s lips and tastes it for himself, “mhm, tasty… oh and the ice cream too I guess.”

Junae flushes as he tries to ignore Gotak’s blatant flirting, focusing on his strawberry dessert.

“What were you even doing?”

“Huh?”

“On your phone. What were you searching up?”

“Doesn’t matter,” he brushes Gotak off with a smile, “just eat up fast so we can get back to the hotel, I’m starting to get tired.”

“Alright, I’m done in there, you can use the shower now.”

“Took you long enough, I almost fell asleep waiting for you”

“As if you could fall asleep without me.”

“Yeah, well, we both could’ve been asleep by now if you’d just taken me up on my offer to shower together."

“Oh my God. Go Hyuntak, go shower now.”

“Yes, sir.”

Juntae watches Gotak walk towards the bathroom, taking his shirt off before he even gets through the door, “Stop being such an idiot and hurry up!”

The second he hears the lock twist, he reaches back for his phone placed on the bedside table, opening up his most recent instagram search, @suh_o006. He’s practically at the bottom of his page, zooming in on every group picture he sees. Being too focused on his task he doesn’t even take notice of the bathroom door opening and Gotak stepping towards him. It’s not until he feels the bed dip under the weight of another body, but before he can lock his phone, it’s snatched straight out of his hands.

“Hey! Pass me my phone back, I was doing something important!”

“Something more important than me?”

“Gotak,” he whines, reaching for his phone that’s now being held above his head, “come on, stop playing around.”

“Come get it.” Gotak jumps out of the bed, waiting for the other to chase after him. What he doesn’t expect is for Juntae to jump directly onto his back, causing them to stumble. “Juntae!” Gotak’s hands automatically reach out to grab onto the back of Juntae’s thighs to prevent him from falling, dropping the phone in the process.

“Aish! You could've hurt yourself!” Gotak yells out, “are you—”

Juntae looks at him in confusion, until he takes notice of what’s taken Gotak’s attention away.

“What’s that?” Gotak whispers, slowly sliding Juntae down from his back.

“It’s nothing!” Juntae attempts to reach down to grab his phone, but Gotak is faster, “Tak-ah, please, I promise.”

“So is this why you wanted to rush me into the shower?” He says as he sits down on the edge of the bed, Juntae joining him quickly after.

“What?! That’s what you think I was doing?”

“What else were you doing then, cause right now I’m looking at a picture of this shirtless Suho guy. What’s he got that I don't?."

“What shirtless picture are you talking about?”

“The one opened up on your phone,” he turns it around to show Juntae, staring at him as if he was the stupid one for not knowing what he was talking about.

“Huh? That's not what I was looking at, at all!”

“There’s no point in lying, I can see it right here.”

“Will you just stop being an idiot, and let me show you” Juntae takes the phone back from Gotak, and scrolls back to the picture he was originally looking at, “See? Certainly not a shirtless picture.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah oh, I was trying to find that girl from the dessert cafe. I knew I’d seen her somewhere and then it clicked, “ Juntae turned his body around to face Gotak, “I may or may not have done a little digging around when Sieun-ah mentioned his friend that was in the hospital.”

“Oh…”

“That Suho guy you saw on my phone, was Sieun-ah’s Suho, idiot.”

“Wait, so that girl in this pic, that was the girl who was working there?”

“Yes! If you had just let me explain, you would've known that by now.”

“I saw a shirtless guy on your phone, what was I meant to do?!”

“You should’ve known that I’d never choose anyone over you, that's what.”

Gotak huffs and turns away, unable to show Juntae the embarrassment on his face.

“Besides… You’re definitely more attractive in my eyes.”

“Seo Juntae… you can’t just say things like that.”

“What? I can’t tell my boyfriend that I think he's hot?”

Juntae doesn’t even get the chance to tease him any further because he's being pushed down onto the bed, Gotak’s arm caging his head, “Two can play at that game, babe.”

“Yeah right,” Juntae wraps his arms around Gotak’s neck and pulls him into a deep kiss, he wasn’t gonna let him get the last word, “now, just shut up and kiss me like you mean it.”

The thought of Suho’s account and Yeongi working at the cafe was completely pushed to the back of their minds, all they could think about was each other.

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“A museum? Really? Who even likes going to those nowadays, Hyunjung, you’re so boring.”

“I think they’re really interesting actually, I’ve always wanted to visit the Arte Museum, I saw the Moon Rabbit exhibition on my feed not too long ago, and I've been dying to try it out!”

Seriously, how was Gotak supposed to keep making fun of Hyunjung when Juntae was so excited, “I mean, yeah, sounds cool, we should totally check it out.”

“What a loser.” Hyunjung mutters under her breath to the twins to make them giggle, yet still making sure Gotak could hear.

“Yah! You little shits, you know I can hear you right?”

“Yeah, that's why I said it, idiot.”

“Have you all decided on a place to go today?” Gotak’s Eomma says as she enters the room, “Hopefully, with no arguments.”

“The Atre Museum, Gotak was overjoyed when I suggested we go there.”

“...Really?”

“Estatic.” The three girls burst out into laughter, watching Gotak’s face slowly turn red before leaving the room with their parents.

“Way too easy to annoy, Tak-ah.” Juntae taps his chest as he walks past him to follow the family, “You make it way too easy.”

“It’s not my fault they’re like spawns of satan…” Running after Juntae shortly after.

“Come on you five, smile, it can't be that hard.” She says as she steadies the camera, causing everyone to groan in response.

“Eomma…” Gotak whines out in a hushed voice, “Come on can’t we just walk around separately now, this is getting embarrassing.”

“You just wanna spend more alone time with Juntae.” Hyunjung remarks.

“Shut up, so what if I do! I doubt you wanna be here either.”

As she keeps fiddling around with the camera settings, Juntae can't help but overhear the conversation just a few feet away, “Awe, look at the poor guy getting his family picture taken, he’s so cute!”

“You should totally get his number, oh my god.”

“You think so?” the girl giggles to her friend.

Now, Juntae knows Gotak’s way above average, how could he not, he sees him basically everyday. But just hearing someone else talk about his boyfriend in a way only he should just lights a flame within him. So with some newfound confidence he pulls Gotak closer, “Can me and Gotak get a picture of maybe just us? Alone?”

“Oh well of course darling! How sweet of you to ask.” Gotak’s Eomma replies with a warm smile.

“What are you doing?”

“Just shut up and pose with me.”

Gotak moves around to stand behind Juntae, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his head on his shoulder, making Juntae squeak, “You told me to pose, didn't you?”

Juntae can only smile in return, that doesn't last long before he hears the girls again, “Awe, look he's posing with his little brother!”

Little brother?! What about this speaks little brother!

Juntae tried to tune them out, but the fire was just growing, so you can’t blame him for what he does next. He turns his head as his hands reach up towards Gotak’s face, pulling him into the softest yet most aggressive kiss they’ve ever had. Hearing the girls gasp in shock was so worth the boldness of his action.

“I almost just asked a gay guy out because of you!"

“How was I supposed to know, he doesn't look gay!”

“Yeah, well bisexual people exist too idiot, come on, let’s leave.”

Once they break away from the kiss Gotak can't take his eyes away from Juntae’s face, not even when he hears his sisters’ disgusted noises as they pretend to throw up, “What… What was that all about Jun-ah?.”

“It just felt right, in the moment. You know, for the picture. Yeah, that's it!”

“For the picture, right.”

“You’re both so weird!” Hyunji yells out, pointing a finger at them.

“It wasn’t even me who did anything, you little brat!”

“You probably brainwashed Juntae Oppa.”

“Alright, I think that's enough now,” Gotak’s Abeoji interrupts before it escalates any further, “let’s allow the lovebirds to go off and explore. Boys, you have about three hours until our time slot is up, spend it wisely.”

“Thank you, Abeonim!” Juntae blurts out as he swiftly pushes Gotak towards one of the other rooms, “that was not meant to happen, why did I even do that?!” He drags his hands down his face, forgetting Gotak was standing right next to him until he breaks out into laughter.

“It’s okay, I’m sure they’ll forget you even did it.”

“Yeah right! I bet your parents are laughing at the pictures as we speak.” Juntae can’t help but pout at the thought.

“Too cute.”

“Shut up! Come on, I wanna see the giant bunnies.”

“Lead the way, babe.”

As they step into the second room, Juntae is immediately captivated by the walls, each one covered in different flowers. He feels Gotak intertwine their fingers, and turns to smile at him before walking further into the room.

“Woah…”

“Breathtaking, isn’t it? The first time I came, when I was younger, I couldn’t control my excitement in the slightest.” Gotak pulls him over to an arch in the wall, “Running in between all the doorways was the best part though, Hyunjung could never catch up to me.”

Juntae just looks at the walls in amazement, dragging his boyfriend from one area to another, not even realising Gotak’s eyes had never left him. He’d been here millions of times, he could probably tour this museum in his sleep so he’s not that interested in any of it. All he could focus on was studying Juntae's expressions, the way the flowers reflected in his eyes.

He watches as Juntae gets his phone out and opens the camera app, so eager to take as many pictures as possible. Gotak wasn't even sure if he’d be able to take him to the next room at this point, “Come on, Jun, we still have the whole of the museum to get through.”

“Oh!” Juntae is quick to snap out of his daze, and happily skips to the next section, dragging Gotak along behind him, all he could do was smile at his boyfriend’s reactions.

“Hey, stay close to me in this room, okay? Wouldn’t wanna lose you in the smoke.”

As soon as the smoke hits them, Juntae latches onto his arm, “You better keep me safe then, prince charming.”

“Always.” Gotak replies on instinct, but he doesn’t fully hear Juntae, his eyes are too busy frantically scanning the room.

“Tak-ah? What are you looking for?”

“There.” He points to somewhere in the smoke, yet Juntae doesn’t get the chance to ask where before he’s being pulled further into the fog.

“Why are you being so secretive? What are you—”

He’s cut off by lips crashing against his own, and Gotak’s hands clutching his waist, but Juntae is quick to push him away, “We’re in public, what if someone comes over and sees us?!”

“It’s fine, the smoke covers us the most here. Don’t worry, I checked.”

“...”

“I promise, nobody's catching us.”

“Are you sure?”

“Positive,” he waits for a moment to let Juntae think about it, “now are you gonna shut up and kiss me or what?”

Gotak’s eagerness gives him a boost of confidence, Juntae’s own hands automatically reach up to grasp onto his shoulders, “How could I ever say no?” He whispers against the taller boy’s lips after pulling him down.

Juntae feels a jolt of excitement pulse through his body as Gotak pulls him even closer. That encourages him to desperately push his lips against Gotak’s, his hands sliding up his neck and into his hair. He pulls on it when he feels a leg slide in between his, and when his boyfriend shudders against him, he tries to rub against him but he suddenly disappears.

Juntae whines at the loss of contact, trying to pull Gotak back towards him until he hears a stern voice, “What do you two boys think you’re up to? Do you know where you are right now?”

“We’re so sorry sir, we just lost track of where we were and,” Gotak looks over his shoulder to try and get some assistance out of Juntae, only to find an empty space where he once stood, “um, we promise not to do it again, goodbye” He can’t bare to hear the security guards response, so he takes this as his cue to run blindly into the next room.

“I wasn’t finished talking to you, you little punk, get back here!”

He’s too busy trying to see if the guard is chasing him when suddenly he crashes into something, “Hey, what the hell?”

“Ah, I'm so sorry about that.” He apologises to the girl he knocked into, patting her shoulders down before getting back to searching for Junate.

“Wait!” she shouts out for him, but it falls on deaf ears because he’s already found what he was looking for. Juntae sitting on a bench, head in hands to cover what Gotak assumes is a completely red face.

“Jun-ah…”

“What was that about not getting caught?” Gotak gets a snarky response from him, but he wasn’t expecting anything else.

“He came out of nowhere!”

“I should’ve just pushed you away…”

“Okay, now you and I both know that’s not what you wanted. You love sneaking around, you can’t lie to me, Jun-ah, I know you too well.”

“What did he say to you?”

“Ehh, just this and that, doesn’t even matter. Look at the bunnies, aren't they so cute aww.”

“Wait, really! Oh my god, I didn’t even realise!” Juntae shoots up out of the seat and rushes over to the giant bunny statues, “Tak-ah look at them, they’re the cutest things ever!”

“I wouldn’t say the cutest thing ever,” he mutters the next part under his breath, “not while you’re here.”

“You have to take a picture of me with them. Can you please?”

“As if I could say no to that face.”

“Here, take my phone.” Juntae goes to take his phone out but is stopped by Gotak’s hand.

“What? No, I’ll just use mine. It's fine, your storage is probably full anyways.”

“Oh, okay then!”

Juntae moves to stand in front of the bunny, holding up a peace sign and Gotak takes the picture, “Hey, come look at this one, see if you like it.”

Juntae does a little jog to meet him, he looks down at Gotak’s phone and frowns, “Tak-ah… I look stupid in that.”

“What? You’re beautiful, baby.” Flustering Juntae with his words, he uses this time to set the picture he just took as his lock screen.

“You can’t just say things like that… And what are you doing! That's not flattering at all.” He pouts at Gotak's actions, “At least let me take another one.”

“Alright, go ahead but this one is staying as my wallpaper.” Gotak smirks, knowing exactly how to tease his boyfriend with his next sentence, “Oh how I hate to see you leave, but damn, do I love to see you walk away.”

“Go Hyuntak! Just take the picture already!”

“Excuse me?” Gotak stops smiling and turns to his right where he hears the voice, “you bumped into me earlier.”

“Oh yeah, I’m so sorry about that, I was looking for my boy—”

“Yeah, that was quite rude of you, don’t you think I deserve something as an apology?”

“What?”

“Your phone number, silly. Don’t you think that’s fair?”

“Yeah, you’re not getting my number. I already said I was sorry for bumping into you, I’m sure that’s enough.”

“Why are you playing hard to get? Shouldn’t you be grateful I came up to you?”

“What’s going on?” Gotak turns back towards the exhibit, only to find Juntae right next to him, “who’s this, Tak-ah?”

“Just someone I—”

“What’s it got to do with you?” The girl cuts him off and takes a step closer to Gotak, a step too close.

All Juntae can do is laugh, “I’m sorry! I just,” he tries to catch his breath but it just brings more laughter out of him, clutching onto Gotak’s arm to regain his balance.

“Why are you laughing, huh?!”

“Nothing, just the fact that you think my boyfriend is gonna give you his number,” he replies after he calms down, “it’s just too funny.”

Gotak looks up at the ceiling and smiles, trying his hardest not to break out into laughter in front of the girl like Juntae did.

“You have got to be kidding me.”

“I’m happy to say he’s telling the truth.” Gotak pulls him into a side hug to further prove his point.

“Whatever, I don’t need this right now. Go enjoy your gay little date.” The girl storms off before they could even respond.

The two boys watch her as she leaves before turning to one another, breaking out into more laughter.

They, thankfully, get through the rest of the museum without any more obstacles. Juntae expresses his excitement for everything he sees, and Gotak takes pictures of him every chance he gets so that he can look back on them and think about how cute his boyfriend is.

By the time they make it to the final room, they’re met with Gotak’s family sitting staring back at them. Hyuna wrapped up in her Eomma’s arms, fast asleep and Hyunji not far behind her.

“Yeah, well you should stop by one day,” Hyunjung speaks softly into her phone before looking up to make eye contact with her brother causing her to roll her eyes as if he was some sort of inconvenience, “I gotta go, they’re back.”

“Come on girls, wake up.” Gotak’s Eomma nudges both of them, “let’s get you two back to the hotel, hm?”

“What took you so long? We were waiting for hours!” Hyunji groans as she stands up, immediately walking towards the door with everyone following behind her, but Gotak keeps him and Juntae just a few steps away from them.

“So, about today.”

“What about today?”

“Nothing, nothing. It was perfect.”

“Okay, so why are you talking in that tone of voice?”

“Just thinking.”

“Spit it out already!”

“I’m just thinking about how much I like that possessive side you showed me today.”

“I was not possessive!”

“Oh, really? So you pulling me into a kiss when those girls were talking about me... That was just you being you?”

“There’s nothing wrong with wanting to kiss your boyfriend.” Juntae defends himself and starts speeding up to get out of the conversation, only to be pulled back.

“Not so fast, I’m not done.”

“Oh my god, you’re impossible.”

“Yeah, yeah. At least I wasn’t the one who latched onto his boyfriend’s arm, laughing in some girl's face when she asked for his number.”

“Oh, okay. So what I’m hearing is you wanted her to keep asking.”

“What? Hey, don’t turn this around on me! I’m talking about you.”

“And I was just showing her that you weren’t hers to have, is that so bad?”

“Yah! When did you get so bold?”

“You can’t be talking about being bold after the stunt you pulled in the smoke room.” He slips out of Gotak’s hold and catches up to the rest of the group, slotting himself beside Hyunjung to talk to her about the other exhibits.

“That little shit…”

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“Wow… I’ve only ever been to an aquarium once, when I was younger.” Juntae can’t take his eyes away from the building in front of him.

“Yeah, I might’ve remembered you saying that when I was showing you all the things we could visit for the trip.” Gotak replies as he leans down to whisper, “and I might’ve talked about it so much to my Eomma just so that she would take us here.”

“Really?” Juntae is quick to turn, his eyes locking onto Gotak’s, “You did that for me?”

“I’d do anything to make you happy.”

“It just sucks that everyone decided to pick the same day as us to come here, the line is huge!”

“Good thing I thought ahead and bought our tickets online.”

“So that means we can all go in straight away?”

“Well…” Gotak looks away from Juntae and mutters something under his breath.

“What was that? You’re gonna have to speak up, Tak-ah.”

“I said, I kinda bought VIP tickets for us to cut the line and left my family with the standard ones.” He was speaking so fast that Juntae could barely even comprehend what he was saying, it took him a few seconds to understand.

“You what?! Tak-ah, why would you do that? Now they’re gonna have to wait in the line while we just cut straight past them!”

“In my defense…” Gotak tried to think of an excuse whilst being glared at, “Okay, I can’t defend myself, I just wanted more time alone with you. Besides, when my Eomma saw what I did, she warmed up to the idea after a few minutes because she thought I was being cute.”

“If you say so… but you better not be lying just to make me feel better.”

“I’m telling the honest truth, promise.” Before Juntae can even say anything else, he feels Gotak’s hand wrap around his own, pulling them both towards the doors. He could hear Hyunji and Hyuna complaining behind them, yet he couldn't help but ignore them, too excited about getting inside.

Once they reach the check in counter, they’re met with the face of a bored teenager, probably just a few years younger than them both, “Tickets please.”

“Here, two VIP tickets.” Gotak shows his phone to the boy for the tickets to be scanned and they’re let in without any problems, picking up a map to help them. “Okay, so it looks like the tropical fish tanks are up first.”

“I wonder how many are gonna be there!”

“Well, let’s go find out, shall we?”

Gotak allows Juntae to take him over to every little thing, no matter how big or small as he listens to his boyfriend read out the little fact boards placed next to each tank, a smile plastered on both of their faces. They continue walking, following the trail until they make it to the shark tunnel, causing Juntae to stop and look up in awe. Gotak looked too, but not for that long. His eyes were drawn straight back to Juntae’s face and the way the reflection of the water paints his face in beautiful blues and greens.

It was the most majestic sight he’d ever seen, not even being so close up to the sharks could compare. Not when he had Juntae, his Jun-ah, standing right in front of him looking as if he’d just walked straight out of a painting.

When Juntae looked back at him, Gotak didn’t shy away from his gaze, he just smiled.

“Come, Jun-ah, there’s something special at the end.” He squeezes Juntae’s hand and leads him through the rest of the tunnel, doesn’t even bother taking a picture because he knows this memory will stay with him forever. How could he ever forget something so pretty?

They walk through the rest of the exhibits quite quickly and when they reach the last room, Gotak is quick to sit them down in the front row to ensure they have the best seats to view the huge tank in front of them.

“What’s in the tank?”

“Just wait, babe, you’re gonna love it. Only five more minutes until it begins.”

Juntae uses the time to talk about all the different creatures he saw today, as if Gotak wasn’t with him the whole time, listing off the facts he’d memorised with such a passion that the other just couldn’t bring himself to interrupt.

“Ladies and gentlemen!” Juntae jumps at the sound of the voice speaking through the overhead speakers, getting a quiet laugh out of Gotak, “The show is about to begin, so if you could all put your phones away and on silent, that would be wonderful. Now sit back and enjoy!”

“Get scared there?”

“Shut up…”

Juntae stops pouting at Gotak and turns to look towards the tank, trying to see what could be inside of it other than the fish and the sharks when suddenly, a splash at the top of the water catches his attention.

“Tak-ah, look! It’s a mermaid!”

“Told you you’d love this.”

“She’s so pretty.”

They watch the mermaid swim around the tank, interacting with the fish surrounding her and blowing heart shaped bubbles towards the audience, only going up to the surface every few minutes.

“I bet you’d make a pretty looking merman, Jun-ah.”

“Shut up and watch the performance.”

“We could be like that one disney movie, you could even give me a little underwater kiss.”

“You wish.”

“I definitely do.”

Juntae shuts him up with a light punch to the chest, forcing him to look back at the mermaid while Gotak wraps his arm around his boyfriend's shoulder, pulling him close until the end of the show.

They reunite with Gotak’s family as the two boys are looking around the gift shop that was at the end of the aquarium, Hyunji talking her head off about the pretty mermaid that was making hearts in the water.

“She was so cool! And I’m pretty sure she even looked at me near the end, can you believe that, Juntae Oppa?”

“That sounds amazing, Hyunji,” he couches down a little to whisper, “I bet she was blessing you with her super awesome mermaid powers.”

“Woah! You really think so?”

“Certainly, now why don’t you go help Hyuna pick out one of those stuffed animals? Looks like she’s struggling to choose between the stingray and the starfish.”

“Okay!” He watches her run off to her sister, smiling at the young girl's energy.

“Come on, Tak-ah, I wanna look at the keyrings.”

“Oh, so you sent Hyunji away just so that we could get matching keyrings?”

“Well, it sounds mean when you put it like that.” Juntae pouts, “Hyuna actually did need help!”

“Yeah, I know, I’m just messing with you, Junie.” Gotak ruffles his hair before guiding him over to one of the merch stands, “Let’s pick out the cutest ones.”

“I was thinking of getting these penguin ones, they remind me of us.”

“How come?”

“Well, penguins rely on sticking with their partners because of how loyal they are. I think it’s really cute how they stay together, like we do.”

“Agh, you’re too sweet, Jun-ah.”

He gets a small giggle in return as he picks up two of the penguin keyrings to take to the counter so that he can buy them for him and Juntae. However, something stops him in his tracks.

“Hyunjung? What are you doing with the girl from the cafe?”

“Huh? Oh, you mean Yeongi? I met her while I was on a late night walk the other day, we kinda just clicked so I invited her out with us today. You would’ve noticed if you hadn’t ran off with your boyfriend and your VIP tickets.”

“Oh, didn’t know you knew these two gay guys.”

“Unfortunatly, the ugly one’s my brother, Juntae’s cute though.”

“Yah! Aren't you gay too? And what do you mean the ugly one?!”

“Oh my god, can you guys argue any louder? You’re gonna attract an audience at this rate.” Juntae tells the two siblings off while pulling Gotak towards the counter, “Come on, let’s pay. See you later, Hyunjung, and it was nice to see you again, Yeongi!”

“I suggest you run away when you get the chance!” Gotak yells back at them while he hands the keyrings over to the worker and pays for them.

“Shut up! You’re no better than your sister.”

“Aish, whatever, let’s get back to the hotel.”

 —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— —— ——

“Jun-ah.” Juntae stirs, hearing a whisper near his ear before turning around to get back to sleep.

“Juntae.” Another call he doesn’t respond to. “Okay, you wanna be like that. You asked for it.”

Not even a second later, Juntae felt Gotak’s hands all over him, tickling him until he couldn't breathe, “Tak-ah! Stop that!” He attempts to speak through his laughter, “let me sleep!”

He feels Gotak pull away to stand up, “Right, I guess I'll just go alone then.”

“Wait, what?” Juntae urgently sat up ready to follow, “Where are we going?”

“We? You don’t want to get up.”

“That’s not fair! You didn’t tell me you were planning something…”

“Oh, so now you’re interested?”

“Obviously. Come on, just tell me.”

“Well, I was wondering if you would like to accompany me on a little midnight swim, but if you’re too sleepy, I guess I can just go by myself.”

“You’re so dramatic, of course I want to go with you. Maybe tell me ahead of time before letting me fall asleep.”

“Gaja, gaja.” Gotak rushes Juntae out of the bed.

“Okay, okay! Let me get ready first, and be patient.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Tak-ah, the water’s gonna be even colder than it was the other day. Did you even think this through?”

“I mean, I knew I wanted to take you here alone.” Gotak looks away as he scratches the back of his neck, “but that's all I had planned.”

“Of course, what was I even expecting?”

“Hey, maybe I could warm you up, it’ll cancel out how cold the water is.”

“That’s not how it works, idiot.”

“Worth a shot.”

“Stop talking, let’s just get this over and done with.” Juntae grabs onto Gotak’s hand and pulls him towards the water.

The second the waves hit them, Gotak makes a noise Juntae didn’t even know was possible for him to create.

“You’re overreacting, it's not as cold as you’re making it out to be.”

“It feels like I’ve just stepped foot into the North pole! How is this not affecting you?”

“Because I’m not a little baby.”

“You’re my baby.”

“Uh huh,” Juntae replies as he slowly crouches down towards the water, suddenly sending a splash of water towards Gotak’s face, “idiot.”

“Yah, What the fuck?! It’s fucking freezing, Juntae.”

“You— Oh my god.” Juntae tries to speak as he’s laughing at Gotak’s unfortunate state.

“Spit it out.”

“You look like an angry, wet dog!”

“Laugh it up, go on.”

“Oh, cheer up, puppy.” Juntae ruffles Gotak’s hair, still trying to stop his giggles.

“You wanna keep laughing?”

“Come on, that was funny. Admit it.”

“You know what else would be funny?” He doesn’t even give the other boy a chance to respond before shaking his head, all the water hitting Juntae in the face.

“Gotak!”

“Not finding this enjoyable anymore, are you?”

“Whatever.” Juntae walks further into the sea, “are you gonna catch up, or what?”

“My bad, I was just admiring.”

“Oh my god.”

It doesn’t take them too long to reach the deeper area, the water coming up to Gotak’s waist and slightly higher on Juntae.

“I guess you were right,” Gotak slowly wades through the water, hand reaching out to rest on Juntae’s hips, “the water isn’t that bad now that we’re fully in it.”

“Have I ever been wrong?”

“Hmm, maybe a few times.”

Juntae glares at him in response and Gotak tries to back away, but just as he turns around to try and run, his boyfriend is quick to tackle him, dragging them both under the water. They both panic and grab onto each other until Gotak pulls Juntae into his arms, the other automatically wrapping his legs around his waist, and brings them both back to the surface.

“...Oops?”

“You’re insane.” Gotak makes an attempt to put Juntae down, but Juntae tightens his hold and moves his hands from Gotak’s shoulders to his neck, “What are you doing?”

“Thought you said you’d be able to keep me warm while we were in the water,” he leans closer, just inches away from Gotak’s face, “did you forget?”

“Oh—” he stumbles a bit, gulping before pulling Juntae back to where he was, “Right. Yeah, I said that, didn’t I?”

“What? Are you getting nervous?”

“Me? Of course not, I’m never nervous.”

“Is that why you can’t look me in the eyes right now?” Juntae leans ever so closer, their lips brushing as he continues to speak, “because you seem pretty tense to me.”

That's all it takes for Gotak to snap, he closes the gap between them, kissing Juntae’s wet lips. His hands squeeze his thighs where he’s holding Juntae up and the boy gasps into his mouth.

“Am I still tense?” Gotak bites back, Juntae responds with a nibble on his lower lip and fingers curling in his hair. He hisses quietly and feels Juntae’s tongue soothe the bite. He doesn’t think twice, just sucks on it causing them both to whimper.

“Tak-ah,” he thinks his heart is about to beat out of his chest as Gotak keeps teasing him.

“Hm?” His grip slides up, under Juntae’s swim shorts, “what do you need?”

“Tak-ah, please.”

“It’s okay, I’ve got you.”

“I’m glad you came with me.”

Juntae looks up from where he’s lying on Gotak’s chest, “I’m happy you invited me,” he smiles before placing his head back, “You’re too good for me, Tak-ah.”

“I think it’s the other way around, Jun-ah. You’re the best person a guy could ask for.”

“Now you’re just being cheesy.”

“No, I mean it.” Gotak sits up, causing Juntae to move with him, “You’re too good for me.”

“Tak-ah…” Juntae looks down, his fingers fidgeting with the sand.

“Juntae,” Gotak places his hand under his chin, lifting his head to meet their eyes, “you are the sweetest person I know, there’s not a day that goes by where you’re not thinking about someone else’s feelings. Even on this trip, you were so focused on my family that I had to make sure you could relax.” He watched Juntae take a breath, his eyes starting to glisten, “and I know I wasn’t the best at that, but I hope that doesn’t mean you regret coming here with me, or just being with me fullstop.”

“You know I’d choose you everytime, Tak-ah.”

“I love you, Juntae.” He reaches out to wipe his boyfriend's tears away, “no need to cry, show me that beautiful smile.”

Juntae lets out a weak laugh before smiling at Gotak, pulling him into a tight embrace, “I love you too, Tak-ah.”
