Summary
Riz stayed silent for a moment, content to let either Kristen or Adaine break the silence. It was a tactic that aided him immensely at the Society, and gave him a moment to switch the bowls out for a single tiny cup for his post-dinner espresso. After a moment, the machine began to stutter again and produce his elixir. Kristen and Adaine must have shared a glance because Adaine took a shuddering breath beside him.
It was Kristen who spoke first. “We were wondering if you would like to watch us have mildly kinky sex tonight after espresso,” they let the request settle over a slight pause. “And Adaine has a question for you.” They directed the last line at Adaine herself, who, for her part, managed to keep her gaze somewhere between Riz's and Kristen’s shoulders, even as the blush crawled up the tips of her twitching ears.
