It’s been a while since Narukami has moved to Inaba, and since have made a profound friend group, while also trying to find the serial killer that has caused such incidents and traction in the countryside. Aside from that, he has made lots of connections to others; especially with Yosuke. Even if Yosuke is a little bit of a klutz and impulsive at times he is still a very kind-hearted person. But something is different about him sometimes, but he usually brushes it off as some friendly joke. But what Narukami doesn’t know is that Yosuke is having a crisis, but something he can’t say out in the open..

This morning, Yosuke has been acting weirder than usual; not like those jokes that Narukami usually dismisses. For example, if he touches Yosuke only slightly like on the hand, he gets all flustered or just immediately pulls away. Narukami was trying to find out what was wrong but didn't know what to do at all.. He can only hope for the best.

Yosuke has a problem.. He’s been thinking about his best friend, Narukami. Not like normal best friend stuff, but thinking about him all day and all night.. And he gets all flustered when Narukami looks him in the eyes like that; with those soft eyes and his long lashes.. But he can’t possibly think that way of his partner in crime he’s a dude.. Could that possibly be that he’s been liking guys and just making all of those jokes to Kanji acting like a real jerk. Yosuke whispers to himself, “I wish my shadow just came back.. so I could face these stupid feelings. Damnit..” He knows he can’t back down now but he needs to build up his courage before he says something to Narukami.

Narukami has been telling Chie about what’s been going on with Yosuke. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him, I don’t think I did anything wrong. Just talking to him like normal.” He says in an exasperated tone. “I think I know what’s wrong! You need to buy him some meat!” Chie says in an excited tone. Narukami sighs, “That’s probably something you want, it’s something bigger than that..” Chie responds back, “Maybe there’s something he can’t tell you or just something wrong with him personally, but I’m sure he’ll get over it soon.” Chie is sure when she says that. “Ok, I’ll see what happens.” He heads back to class with Chie having an idle conversation.

Yosuke looks at Narukami walking with Chie, and jumps into the conversation, trying to act normal. “Hey guys.. wanna head down to Junes with everyone else? We don’t need to go to the TV World today. Just hangout. And partner, you can also invite Nanako-chan, she must be pretty lonely at home..” Yosuke bashfully requests. Chie mouths to you “Look, maybe he isn’t ignoring you~” Chie says in a jocular tone.
Narukami slightly smiles at her, while also talking to Yosuke. Yosuke does notice that she says that and immediately gets tongue- tied cheeks getting a red hue all around his neck and cheeks. “A-anyways partner, see you l-later yea..?” Narukami is a little perplexed at Yosuke’s reaction. “Are you okay Yosuke?” Yosuke blurts out, “Y-YEA! Totally okay.. it’s just the summer heat. I-I gotta go!” He swiftly walks off to class.

Later on, at Junes.. They end up buying a ton of snacks and having a normal conversation between everyone, Nanako also having a good time that isn’t inside the house.. Teddie acting like his wacky self as usual, Chie talking about her new Trial of The Dragon CD that she got. Yukiko talking about how the inn’s cooks are trying to help her get better at her cooking skills.. Yosuke bashing both of them for the Mystery Food X they made back in June. “Look guys, I don’t want any more of your food, last time I almost died of hunger because of what you made..!” Yosuke says in a dramatic tone pretending to faint. Chie immediately responds back “It was only ONE time! Cut Yukiko and me some slack..” Narukami looks at Yosuke, also talking to him. “Maybe one day she’ll get better at it but there is some improvement to be made..” Narukami reminisces about the time he tried eating Yukiko’s food without retching. Yosuke nervously responds back “H-Hopefully there will be one day that I don't have to experience another Mystery Food X..!” He faintly has a disgusted expression. By the time it gets late and everyone says their goodbyes.

Narukami is glad that he got to spend some time with the group without having to go to the TV World, as they have just recently just went in. As of right now they have plenty of time to spend before the killer catches up to them. Aside from all of that chaos, he saw how Yosuke was around him noticing his body language.. And how he looks at him. Has he been pushing Yosuke away..?

Yosuke lays on his messy bed playing some music on.. thinking about Yu.. Again. In his thoughts he says; “Oh god.. maybe im starting to like him like that.. that’s crazy, right? That can’t be..” Yosuke blushes and hides his face in the pillow “You’re crazy Yosuke! He doesn’t like you like that.. You’re a guy and he’s a guy! But maybe just maybe if I tell him; it would clear out the air.. But I don’t want to ruin our friendship..” Yosuke is overthinking way too much and tries to relax and get some sleep.

The after school sunset, red mixing in with shades of oranges, it’s almost fall.. how time flies in Inaba.. While Narukami thinks it over in class, and finds out maybe he’s fallen for Yosuke.. His cheerful personality hyping up The Investigation Team, his loyal friendship with him, and his messy hair.. Could it be?

Days pass by going into nights, green leaves turn into orange-yellow ones. Summer has ended and Fall has started to bloom. And Yosuke keeps on pushing back his feelings for another day and Narukami is still in thought about his emotions as well; when they get closer, they end up both acting like awkward kids trying to figure out what this feeling is. But today is finally the day that Yosuke will confess his feelings to Narukami.. He’s a little nervous; after all, Narukami is one of the best people he has met since he has been in Inaba.

During lunchtime, he comes up to Narukami. “Partner.. Can we hang out together today? We haven’t done that in a while so I wanted to have a conversation with you; I got nothing to do anyways..” he says in a jittery tone, wide eyed. Narukami nods, responding back; “Sure let’s hangout today, I have no plans either..” Yosuke instantly answers back; “Y-yea totally! let’s meet at that field..” Narukami nods “Then it’s settled.” After that they have some typical conversation, nothing special. But now is Yosuke’s chance to say it all.

At the fields they usually hanged out at, the start talking about the great moments they’ve had together with everyone, and they get more to opening up more to each other.. “You know.. I’ve always wanted to feel.. Special. I thought I would have some type of meaning in life if I was special to someone. Like when I got my Persona, I got excited. But I found out I really didn’t need it. It’s not if you have or what you can do.. Just being born, living your everyday life, before you know it, you’re already special to someone.” Narukami responds “That’s right.” Yosuke continues his sentence; “Yeah.. Like you, You’re special to m-me, you know.”
Yosuke hasn’t completely said his feelings; but what he said was extremely heartfelt and had meaning. Narukami and Yosuke end up spending a long time together.. And when Narukami gets up to go, Yosuke grabs his wrist gently but a little firm. He thinks in his head “I’m going to be brave, just for you partner.” He finally blurts out his name “Yu!” “Don’t go, not yet..” “I-I like you.. Don’t make me say it twice, makes me feel weird..” Yosuke is so flustered he’s lucky he hasn’t passed out or completely stop speaking but he hold Yu’s hand. “When I was talking about you being special to me, I genuinely meant it.. Shit.. It must be very weird to be confessed from a guy and not a girl..” “But I wanted you to know the truth, I wanted to let it out and wanted to know how you felt.. since I acted so weirdly around you all this time..” “I don’t want to repeat that, if you don’t feel that way, it’s completely fine..” Yosuke bashfully and impulsively says all of these things to Narukami, scared of what’s to come. While he says all of these words; Narukami suddenly reaches out to gently touch his face, caressing it with utmost gentleness. “Yosuke..” he quietly says Yosuke’s name. He lets go for a moment and says “Was that ok..?” “I’ve kinda been thinking about doing that all this time..” Narukami looks flustered but always trying to be calm, seems like his walls are coming down.. Yosuke responds “A-as long as no one is—“ Narukami exclaims “I like you too, Partner!” “I didn’t realize that I liked you for such a long time..” “I have for a while now..” Yosuke talks again “For— ..awhile?” Narukami looks down, looking at his shoes face still flushed. Yosuke keeps talking, and holds Narukami's hand “Oh.. Oh man. I..I’ve been a real jerk for not realizing you liked me too.. I’m sorry I didn’t take notice. I won’t make you wait any longer. I took so long figuring out my own that I just didn’t have the courage to say anything to you..” Narukami replies back “You promise to?” Yosuke says to Narukami, slightly giggling “What kinda guy do you take me for Yu?” “You’re right.” Narukami smiles “You know there’s something else I want to do..” Narukami reaches out to Yosuke’s face again, but this time he gently presses his lips onto Yosuke’s. Clumsy, but sincere; the truth was finally out. Narukami ends up walking with Yosuke, holding his hand. “See you, Partner..” Instead of Narukami making a move, Yosuke pecks his cheek. “I-I know it’s weird and all for me to do that..” Narukami immediately blurts out “No. It’s not weird.. I-I liked it more than I was supposed to.” Yosuke blushes and immediately walks back and waves shyly. Today might've been the biggest victory for Yosuke Hanamura.

Few days later, Yosuke asks to come over Narukami’s house since Dojima is not at the house and Nanako is at an overnight school trip at Port Island. Narukami is watching the TV and hears a knock. “Hey.. it’s me Yosuke!” Yosuke opens the sliding door, and kicks off his shoes. “C-could you show me your room..?” “Let’s go Yosuke..” “Lead the way partner!” Yosuke says in a giddily tone. Narukami grabs his hand and heads upstairs to his room. “So this is your room huh..” Yosuke takes a look around “It looks cleaner than mine that’s for sure!” He laughs a little.. “Yeah I keep most things tidy but it’s small so it’s easier to clean up my room..” Narukami shyly looks around while Yosuke takes a seat. “Uh.. Yu.. I want to try out kissing you.. but only if you want to..! Shit..” he looks down and a red hue goes all over his face and ears. Narukami was a little surprised at this sudden request but still agrees ”Sure..” Narukami quietly says, looking at Yosuke. Yosuke pulls Narukami a little closer and closes the gap. Accidentally, he falls onto Narukami, pinning him accidentally. He’s kind of suprised that Yosuke did something bold like that, and Narukami gets way flustered than usual. in such close proximity, it scares the living shit out of Yosuke, but also brings him excitement.. “Y-Yu.. is this okay..?” The way that Yosuke says his first name makes him come undone.. Yu responds with a coy tone, the most embarrassed Yosuke has ever seen Yu. “Y-yea it’s fine..” Yosuke closes the gap one more time and holds onto that kiss for more than a few seconds like last time. They both end up embarrassed, Yosuke sits straight up and same for Yu, both utterly breathless.. before they say anything they take a few breathers. Very clumsy but everything about the kiss is very sweet and innocent.. Yosuke starts talking “W-we just did that.. oh gosh..” he puts a hand on his face of how flustered he is. Yu slowly takes off your hand from your face “Look at me Partner.. I think you look cute like that..” Yosuke goes speechless, like total error mode.. “D-don’t say that..! You know it makes me feel soft inside..” Yu chuckles, “You’re also special to me too Yosuke..” They end up having a deep conversation, but as time passes by, Yu does end up walking Yosuke home. Here to say they both definitely didn’t get any sleep at all..

They’ve been texting nonstop, going on movies, sparring eachother; walking around Inaba together, studied, kissed, hugged; whatever it is that these dorks did they definitely did it. But today is very special since Yu decided to invite him to the same field that Yosuke confessed at. “Hey there Yu..” He sees Yu lying in the field, and Yosuke does the say as well. “Hey Yosuke..” “I just wanted to talk to you about some stuff..” “Sure partner.. we can talk about anything..” “I’ve been thinking all the moments we’ve had with each other.. like that time you saved me from all that Mitsuo Shadow.. I felt like I was cared for..” “Or that time that we set things equal and sparred eachother..” Yosuke replies back, “I remember.. I wanted to get your approval the most from anyone else.. I felt jealous.. I wanted you to smack all of that crap outta me.. and now after all of these times I’ve had with you, we’re together in this with the rest of the team.. but I want to be acknowledged by you the most..” Yosuke has said it all, accepted his final form, and his Persona was reborn.. “Is this what I have now that I’ve become stronger with you..? Thank you; truly partner, let's get stronger together...” Narukami just pulls Yosuke into a hug, laying in on the grass.. “Thank you too.” Narukami’s warm body goes against Yosuke’s slowly heating up body. You know I get shy about all of this..” Narukami kisses Yosuke after he says that, a little deeper than most of the kisses they’ve shared. “Let’s enjoy everyday until spring.. okay..? I want to spend as much time with everyone.. and you.” Narukami sincerely says with the softest voice ever heard from Yu. Yosuke responds with the same type of softness. “Okay Partner, let’s spend everyday together.. Until spring.”
