   Summary

   Nikki Freeman is in jail on account of triple homicide. Iris is a lawyer who specializes in cases of violence against women. When Nikki's case explodes on the news, Iris immediately takes it up to appeal her sentence. For the first time in a while, both women feel more human as they get to know the other.
