Summary
Things have been rough for Carwood Lipton since his wife died, as much as he didn't want to admit that. He lives a monotonous life on his farm in Easy, waiting for the day things finally take a turn for the better. The guys keep trying to get him to hire someone to help out even though he doesn't really need it. He likes having something to occupy his mind.
That is until a mysterious drifter arrives in town one day, rumors of death and a dark past trailing close behind. Naturally, Carwood hires him to be his farmhand...much to the dismay of everyone else.
