   Jay manages to dip the spoon into the soup, and then slowly brings it to his mouth. He swallows and closes his eyes, then he presses his lips into a smile. Matt feels something warm up inside him, like he had tasted the same spoonful.

   Outside, the dark grey clouds part for a moment. The rain stops pattering against the windows, as a sunbeam shines through the curtain, bathing the living room in a soft, afternoon glow.
