Work Text:
Leaf wonders if Blue thinks she has selective memory. After being snarky for months, he has the gall to approach her outside a Pokemon Center and ask her out. While awaiting her answer, he wears the cockiest grin—until she takes a shaky breath and speaks.
“Blue, you’re handsome and strong, but—you’ve been mean to me. Far too mean for me to ever consider dating you.”
The last thing she sees before scurrying away, is his jaw smacking the ground.
That must hurt, Leaf thinks, feeling a pang of regret. But I’d be a pushover if I said yes.
