Summary
There is a boy -a boy- slumped on the floor just behind the couch. He looks small, young. Nicky doesn’t think he can be much older than five. He’s got warm olive skin, messy light brown curly hair and big grey eyes that look terrified.
“Where the hell did the kid come from?” Nicky is pretty sure Andy is talking to herself but he’d like to know too. Nile recovers first and makes her way towards him. He sits up slightly straighter as he looks around, his eyes catch on Nicky and he bolts up and sprints straight towards him. Nicky catches him on instinct and the boy clings onto his shirt.
“I didn’t mean to Papa, I'm sorry. It-it was accident, I’m sorry..” the kid trails off, tucking his head under Nicky’s chin and clinging on for dear life. Nicky’s eyes snap up to meet Joe’s instantly and he looks just as confused as Nicky feels. Joe mouths Papa?
