Jackson walked through the halls of Monster High. He stopped by his locker he checked his icoffin no notifications. Jackson looked around and saw a locker open seems someone had forgotten to close it. He went over and was about to close it when he saw a lantern in it, ''who would put a lantern in a locker'' Jackson said as he picked up the lantern. He looked inside in it wasn't a flame it was like a dancing woman. Jackson was about to blow it before he heard a voice JACKSON DONT shouted the voice. Jackson looked behind and saw betty east running towards him wearing a shirt with puffy sleeves a belt with what he thinks is a rock shaped buckle, and a skirt with a bluebird on it, betty grabbed the lantern from Jackson's hand and puts it back in her locker jackson took a step back looking at betty glowing eyes betty Jackson said I didn't know you kept a lantern in your locker, betty stared at Jackson I am this close into turning you into a tree betty said
Jackson put his hand on betty's shoulder betty he said why do you have a lantern in your locker, betty sighed and sat down you know my father she said, his soul lived in a lantern he got some guy to cut down Edelwood trees to keep it lit, claiming that it has his daughter's soul in it that went on for years until one day, Jackson asked what happened, two kids entered the unknown the youngest was claimed by my father and was turning into a tree the eldest broke the youngest free and the woodsman blew out the flame killing my father, betty sighed and headed off to class Jackson followed her, betty im sorry Jackson said but your safe now, Jackson hugged betty she quietly hugged Jackson back, hey betty said me and moucsades are going to the mall to pick up something for Robecca's birthday you want to come with? Jackson nodded, yeah he said as long as there isn't any loud music, betty agreed and headed of her way
