   Summary

   “I’m Simon,” He said after a barely too-long pause, though the Scientist didn’t seem to notice.

   “Good, good,” The Scientist - Doctor Ryland Grace - said cheerfully. Though it felt fake. Simon could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his hands, though still raised in the air, were slightly twitching.

   He was, maybe not scared, but wary of him. Of Simon. Simon did not want to seem like a threat - especially not like this. It’d be too easy to remove something, anything, else, if the Scientist felt it necessary to neutralize him.

   Simon really didn’t want to lose his remaining arm.
