The Man Behind it All

Summary:

UU!Wemmbu is genuinely so done and is probably going insane. LS!Wemmbu decided to fix that.

UU!Wemmbu and LS!Wemmbu switch places. LS!Wemmbu cooks Arachn1d and UU!Wemmbu is in LifeSteal season five for some reason?

Notes:

My first fic don’t bully me

Also this chapter is like the shortest chapter out of all of them I just needed an introduction

Quick world building thing so you understand stuff

- UU!Wemmbu and LS!Wemmbu know each other

- LS!Wemmbu can body swap with UU!Wemmbu

- LS!Wemmbu can interact with UU!Wemmbu because UU!Wemmbu’s code is incredibly glitching from staying with Ash as a kid (ASH AND WEMMBU BROTHERS IS SO PEAK) so when somebody’s code is glitchy it is easier to go inside their universe and stuff

- UU!Wemmbu’s code gets glitchier from strong emotions

- When UU!Wemmbu body swaps with LS!Wemmbu, the season he gets put in is random (don’t ask why)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Swap

Chapter Text

Gambit came crashing down on another chungie as Wemmbu laughed more than he had in weeks. It wasn’t often nowadays that Wemmbu was brought into fights that was actually enjoyable. But now? He felt even more free than ever!

Or as free as a weapon could be.

Capital city was in shambles during the war, as most have died—or are dying—to Wemmbu’s deadly orbitals. Having betrayed Cindercrest, players from every side swarmed Wemmbu, however to no avail. Wemmbu didn’t even blink before killing everyone in his sight.

Gambit wasn’t as loud as Wemmbu this time. Despite Gambit’s itching bloodlust, he was silent half of the time— only talking to alert Wemmbu of potential danger. Wemmbu knew why Gambit was so silent, Crucible was absent this entire fight. Gambit and Crucible were like two peas in a pod. There was no Gambit without Crucible, and no Crucible without Gambit. Yet here they were, with Crucible nowhere to be found.

Wemmbu started to get bored of the repetitive macing and nuking, as there wasn’t much of a challenge in the battlefield besides Flame.

Flame.

Wemmbu doesn’t want to talk to him, let alone fight him. He doesn’t even want to his face.

He thought they could be friends.

Actual friends.

Not like the rivals everyone see them as.

Not as the criminals Lettuce said they were.

Not as the monsters everyone ran away from.

But friends.

Clearly that was a dream only Wemmbu had.

Flame didn’t care.

He never cared.

He heard Flame’s voice behind him, looking for a fight as always. Wemmbu simply flew up higher to get away from the man. He wasn’t looking for a fight.

Wemmbu stared at the damage he had done to the Capital from his newfound vantage point and reflected on Theo’s words.

‘Psychopath’.

That’s what he said.

He said I was a psychopath.

I’m no psychopath.

Wemmbu didn’t have that much time to think before he was once again attacked by Flame who had come up to him using wind charges that Wemmbu had tuned out in his thoughts. Wemmbu sighed and flew up higher hoping Flame could take the hint that he didn’t want a fight—but Flame wouldn’t care.

Flame continued to follow him higher and higher to the point they had reached the top of the building. They had a short conversation, in which Wemmbu paid half-attention to before finally flying away to report back to Arachnid.

He said that he’d finally return Egg after this.

Wemmbu knew he wouldn’t return him. After all, why would he? He never returned him every other time he said he would, but Wemmbu couldn’t help but at least hope he wasn’t lying this time.

-

‘Hello dear Wemmy! You good? You have been exerting strong negative emotions for a looong time! And that isn’t exactly normal.’

Wemmbu flinched at the loud voice that suddenly appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

There was now a man floating beside him.

“Oh. You’re back.”

‘Why, of course I am! Your code has been so incredibly glitchy— it was almost as if you were begging me to come!’

“It has? I didn't know that.”

‘Daaaalright. Now, why so gloomy huh? Did somebody leave you again? Did ya’ get betrayed? Eggchan hostage maybe?’

“Congrats. Two outta’ three right. Just throw out the first one and it’s spot-on.”

‘Dalright gimme the explanation.’

-

‘Dawg what— seriously? And Flame’s still wondering why you joined Arachnid?’

Wemmbu sighed.

“Unfortunately, yeah. It’s like— really stupid.”

‘Dalright. Now, do you need me now? That is the question! Do you need my help?’

Wemmbu thought for a second before finally coming to a conclusion.

“Sure. Just like— don’t kill Parrot and his friends. Don’t— don’t kill Flame either.”

The man beside him chuckled.

‘Seriously man? Don’t kill Flame? You got attached to the idiot?’

“Shut up bro. Just ‘cause you have no friends doesn’t mean you can go around killing mine.”

The man gasped in mock offense.

‘I have friends!’

Wemmbu gave him a side-eye before replying.

“Yeah, sure. You mean how Squiddo betrayed you? And what about Flame and Mane? That was wonderful, wasn’t it?”

The man went red in embarrassment.

‘H-hey! Mane and Flame were allies! Not friends! And Squiddo only betrayed me because she was lovey-dovey with Ash! If he wasn’t there it would’ve all been great!’

Wemmbu chuckled before looking at the man.

“Dalright Wem, I’ll have fun myself in LifeSteal at least. Goodluck in this nightmare of a server, bro.”

‘Hah, dalright.’

UU!Wemmbu closed his eyes, and found himself in a separate body in a server far away from Unstable. He was now wearing the clothing of what seemed to be a security guard, except all purple.

Oh, this was gonna be fun.

-

LS!Wemmbu chuckled in his new body. He wore what seemed to be the clothing of a prince, however covered in red and black, and so much spider webs. It was disgusting. He wore a veil covering his eyes, however he could still see clearly through his watcher eyes.

Time to kill a spider.
