Work Text:
Master:
Off to fetch water; back soon. There’s a circle drawn around the camp for your safety - please do not leave it.
Your disciple,
悟空 (Wukong)
For the benevolent gaze of my revered Master:
I am ashamed to confess it was I who emptied this pouch of dry rations in a moment of carelessness. Realizing my error, I have left to beg for alms to replace the contents. I beg you most fervently not to inform Eldest Brother of this.
With bows of contrition, your disciple,
悟能 (Wuneng)
Reporting to Master:
I have gone to search for Second Brother, as it has been some time since he left, and I fear something may have befallen him. Please be at ease; I will be sure to return quickly.
With respect, your disciple,
悟净 (Wujing)
My disciples:
Considering that, on this spring morning, the weather is pleasant and the terrain is easy to navigate, on this rare occasion I have left to beg for alms for you all, in thanks for all that you do for me.
I will not go far, merely to the small hut in yonder woods. Please do not worry.
Master (師父)
