He was just a toy to the possessive older mech, but even sparklings knew not to hold on so tight lest they break their playthings.

It had been months since Ratchet sprung him from the Council's evidence locker, and still Bumblebee didn't get Earth. He watched and watched and watched all of the other Autobots when he wasn't following in Prime's shadow, trying to figure out how they could come to call the Earth home when Bee missed Cybertron each and every cycle. His spark—heart now, he supposed—yearned to return.
Or; a lot had happened since Bumblebee had joined the Earth Autobots post the reveal of Longarm... of Shockwave's deception. Still reeling from it all, the last thing that he needed was turning human overnight without rhyme or reason.

Summary
After her father goes missing and she's kicked out of her home by Powell, Sari struggles with the transition of her former life to being under the care of the Autobots full time. The Autobots, too, are doing their best to juggle taking care of their little friend and protecting the city from the growing threat of the Decepticons. Somehow, they're able to make things work, but not without a lot of hiccups.
Or; a series of slice-of-life missing scenes from Season 2 focused on the Autobots and their efforts to raise Sari in the interim of their search for Professor Sumdac.

Bumblebee didn't even know that organic hair could get that tangled or matted— In fairness to him, it wasn't as though he had ever seen an unkempt human before. Not that Sari was unkempt! She was just… going through a tough time. That's all.
