After playing and winning his first game against the Montreal Metros since joining the Centaurs, Hockey God Shane Hollander, who should be fucking ecstatic over the win over showing his old team exactly where they stand without him, showered so long his team starts looking towards Ilya in question. Showered so long his team trickled out to celebrate without him, at Ilya's encouragement. Showered so long his skin's beet red and close to blistering under the heat, and everything's pruning and somehow he still doesn't feel clean.
Ilya's kneeling to meet him knee for knee, never once judging the adrenaline crash or ugle sobs or half mumble self deprecating nonsense because it wasn't the time for it. No, it's time for Hockey God Shane Hollander to fall apart in his husband's arm.
