"HEHEHEHEHEEHEHEEHEHEEHEHEHE!"
"Minho!"
Felix and Changbin looked up from their gaming session at the yelling throughout the house. They looked at each other, then at the screaming with laughter little, who was running around the living room.
"Oh my God," Felix whispered as he watched Minho with mind-numbing eye movements. He paused and shook his head, feeling sick to his stomach. When he refocused, Minho had been tackled to the floor, Han Jisung on top of him, pinning him down with a blanket with Mickey Mouse imprinted. "What is going on?" he asked.
"We don't— stop moving, you stupid!" Jisung huffed as he lay his body on top of Minho, who was squirming around and whining like a little child. "We don't know. He just all— out of nowhere gained this energy."
Chan walked into the room, holding a pacifier. He joined Felix and Changbin on the couch and looked at Minho with exhaustion. "Did he get into any sweets or anything that could give him a big burst of energy while we were at the studio?"
"No?" Felix looked at Minho and Jisung on the ground. He blinked his eyes in confusion and groaned, covering his eyes with his hands. "Headache."
"All he would've had was— would be like his morning pudding," Changbin said as he turned the gaming console off, changing the TV to Netflix. "And even then—"
"—he shouldn't have this much energy this late at night," Chan finished the sentence as he sat next to Jisung and Minho. He held the pacifier out in Minho's field of vision, hoping he would see the object. The little did after a bit and took the pacifier but did not make an attempt to put it in his mouth, opting to play with it to see how much he could squish and stretch it."Did he get into anything? Who's on watch tonight?"
Changbin pulled his phone out to check the calendar. "It says..." he tightened his lips together before letting out a breath through his nose and then bursting into laughter. It was stupid to laugh at, he knew that. He couldn't help but find the situation funny. But no one else laughed. Except for Minho, who giggled because why the hecky was Bunny laughing? What was so funny that he didn't know? "Chan."
"What?" The leader asked as he looked up from where his hand floated from handing Minho his kitty pacifier. He furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head in confusion, looking more and more like his wolf counterpart every day. "What is it, Changbin? What's so funny?" He laughed weakly as he spoke. Changbin's laugh was to die for. The members hoped he would never lose his laugh.
Felix, who had been looking at Changbin's phone to see who was on the hyperactive cat duty, looked over at his fellow Aussie and grinned. "He was saying that you're on duty, idiot."
After a five-second pause, Chan took his own phone out and looked at the calendar. "Shit— crap." He forced the paci into Minho's mouth so he didn't repeat the word. "Sorry." He set his phone down and focused his gaze on the little. He tilted his head and smiled softly. "Jisung, get off him."
"Yes, sir." Jisung got off Minho and sat next to him.
Chan held his hands out for Minho. "Come here, little cat." He opened and closed his hands and cooed at him. "Big wolf wants to talk to you without being too loud. Lixie and Bin Bin are going to be watching a movie."
"Bin Bin," Minho gasped as he looked over at his absolutely favorite person in the whole wide world (aside from Jisung, of course).
"No— okay." Chan frowned as he watched Minho crawl over to Changbin. He sighed in defeat and sat in a slouch. "Minmin, come back."
"Bin Bin," Minho babbled happily, curling up against Changbin like a tiny kitten when it found its favorite person. He closed his heavy eyes (he got sleepy when Changbin was near) and let out a fake "honk-shoo". He peeked his left eye open to see if Channie was still there, jealous or not. Yep. The older man was sitting on the floor, looking confused and perhaps a little angry or jealous. The little couldn't tell. All he knew was that Channie had gotten replaced by Bin Bin, even though it was his day. "Ni-ni, Channie."
"Min..." Chan rolled his eyes. "Ni-ni, Minmin."
Changbin let out a soft chuckle as he wrapped an arm around Minho, pulling him closer. He carded his fingers through the little's soft locks, making sure to breathe steadily not to interrupt the little's fake nap. "No milk?"
"Nuh," the little mumbled. He sat still briefly before snuggling into Changbin's armpit.
"Hey!" The caregiver poked at Minho's side, wiggling his finger around before trying to force the leech off his body. "You need to ask before latching on, baby boy."
"Honk shoo," Minho sang.
Changbin glanced over at Chan, giving him a soft smile. "It's okay."
"I'll just get his bed ready, I guess." Chan glanced at the little before getting up and heading over to Minho's room.
Felix scooted closer to Changbin and Minho, remote in his hand tightly so the little didn't grab it potentially. He didn't know how small he was. "Min?" One eye opened cheekily before a small, shy smile grew on the little's face. He hid his face against Changbin's side again, hugging the caregiver tightly with a whine. "Min, wanna watch a movie with Bunny and I?"
"Min, up, bud." Changbin bounced his legs once to encourage the little to sit up.
"Nuh!" Minho looked up at Changbin, drool rolling down his chin. He giggled and wiped his face on Changbin's shirt. "Num-ah!"
Changbin and Felix exchanged a look, one confused and the other adoring.
"I think he's in babyspace," Changbin whispered. He rubbed a hand up and down Minho's back. He looked down at the little with a small frown. Minho never regressed that young. Only one other time, and that was because he had gotten too upset after wetting the bed. Back then, Jeongin and Hyunjin had taken care of him because almost everyone else was away at work or overseas. Those two were in Italy now. "Shit."
"He's a baby!" Felix immediately cooed when Minho gave a confirmation that he was in babyspace by babbling and chewing on Changbin's shirt. "Hyung, gimme." The Aussie gently grabbed Minho's sides, looking at Changbin for permission. "Let his Mama hold him."
"I don't think he wants Mama." Changbin readjusted Minho's body. The little let out a whine until he wasn't being moved anymore. He huffed and crossed his eyes before latching onto Changbin's shirt, dangerously close to his nipple. "Hey, careful."
"Channie Hyung!" Felix turned around on the couch to face the kitchen. "Can you get Min his baba?"
"Which one?" Chan opened the cabinet labeled Min's Bottles ONLY (Yang Jeongin). "We need to clean a lot of them."
Felix hummed and turned toward the little. "Min, baby." He wiggled a finger in front of the little's face. The little, content with suckling on his Bunny's shirt, glancing over at his Mama, blinking his wide eyes slowly. Felix pouted and cooed as he reached over to pinch Minho's cheek. The little was adorable. One day, he was going to have a heart attack. "Baby, do you want..." He looked to see what Chan picked out. "Bluey?" He looked at Minho's reaction. Not much. "Elsa?" Nothing. "What about the Elmo?"
The little gasped loudly. "Moooooo!"
"Yeah?" Felix smiled. "Min wants Elmo, Daddy."
"Alrighty." Chan put the other two babas away and then began to prepare the formula (chocolate milk).
Minho chewed on Changbin's shirt, curling against him impossibly more as he whined. Changbin looked down at the little and cooed, rocking their bodies side to side. "Sleepy?" He asked in a quiet voice just as Seungmin and Jisung entered the living room with blankets and pillows and stuffies. "I thought Chan was getting his bed ready?"
"He was," Jisung said with a nod as he threw his fair share of stuff onto the ground. "Then he came in here when he saw Seungmin and I and said, 'why dont you two set Minho's room up instead of sitting on your lazy bums all day?' to which I said, 'Why would I do that when I could be resting on my day off?' To which—"
"Hyung said we all should just sleep in the living room tonight." Seungmin tossed his share of things onto the ground, falling onto his knees once the pillows landed near his feet. "He has a lot of stuff."
"It's going to be a pain to move in the morning," Felix mumbled as he slid onto the ground from the couch to set the "nest" up with Seungmin.
Chan hummed a tune he had been working on as he handed Changbin Minho's Elmo bottle. "Grab more thin blankets."
"Why? He likes his thick blankets," Jisung frowned as he walked over to the closet full of blankets.
"He's in babyspace," Changbin said as he passed Minho over to Chan on the ground, making sure he was stable before letting go fully. He groaned at the wetness of his shirt and shook his head. He stood up, took his shirt off, and made his way to his room.
"Oh." Jisung glanced at the little, who was grabbing all the soft pillows and hugging them all. He pouted and nodded. "I'm not changing any poopy diapers." He glanced around at the other caregivers.
"You don't even do that when he's two," Seungmin snapped as he helped steady Minho so the little could feed from his bottle. He smiled softly when the little babbled and gurgled around the bottle's nipple. "Yeah? Tastes yummy, hm?"
Minho nodded, not that he could really understand what anyone said. His brain was the fuzziest it had ever been. Words mean nothing to him unless the words were Mama, Dada, Bunny, Bin Bin, and babash. He wrapped his hands around his baba and leaned against Chan, blinking his eyes slowly, the more he suckled on the bottle. It had been a while since he last had a bottle; in the past month, he had regressed to around six or seven. Maybe eight? He didn't know. All he knew was that he was in Daddy's lap, snuggled like the lovebug he was, while his other caregivers worked hard to make the space comfy and safe for a baby.
After a while, he pushed the bottle out of his mouth and yawned, stretching his limbs. Chan looked down at him at the sudden movements. "Tired, baby?" Minho babbled sleepily. He dropped his bottle (thankfully all sealed up) and snuggled against Chan, closing his eyes. Chan smiled softly and wrapped his arms around the little safely. "Innie and Hyunnie will be home soon. Then we can all watch Cars and go to sleep."
Minho only mumbled incoherent words as he slowly fell asleep, feeling safe in his Daddy's arms.
He was just a baby, after all.
