“Yes. Do you like it?”
“It seems rather a waste. To build a tower so high, with such a magnificent view… overlooking a landscape no one could bear to look at.”
Now it is his turn to smile.
“Well,” he says, clasping his hands behind his back as he takes an unhurried step closer, “it has been quite some time since our last meeting. Tell me, Galadriel – are you going to slap me this time, or kiss me? Or both?”
“Or neither,” she shoots back.

After the fall of Eregion, Galadriel and Sauron met several times in a shared dream beyond time and space. An angry kiss happened. Tormented by guilt, Galadriel vowed never to let Sauron into her dreams again.But then an unexpected messenger brings terrifying news from Mordor… and someone long absent suddenly returns. As Galadriel’s life is thrown into turmoil, the dream draws her and her enemy together once more.
