Once a land ruled in fear was now a land of peace and joy and the Queen of Hearts vowed to continue keeping the peace.
For that reason Maddox Hatter was locked away where he could no longer harm no one.
But things were about to change
Currently the Queen of Hearts was in the throne room with her daughters. They were currently discussing plans for the upcoming Winter festival.
Suddenly she hears the doors open and a guard walks in
"Your Majesty I''m afraid we have heard from the prison guards informing us that Maddox Hatter has escaped "
"When did this happen?" she asks trying to remain calm but both girls could see the fear their mother was trying so hard to hide.
"They are not sure exact time but it seems he could have escaped some time last night during a guard switch" the guard explains
"I want all guards briefed and on alert and the people must be warned to be on the lookout" she informs
"Yes your majesty" the guard bows and begins to leave the thrown room to begin his orders when the Queen stops him.
"And have his son brought in for questioning"
"As you wish your majesty"
The queen is left alone with her daughters
"Mom, you can't think Max had anything to do with it" Red says
"I cannot take any chances" her mother informs her as she makes her way back to sit on her thrown.
"Max is the one who helped us save Wonderland and stopped his father" Red reminds her mother.
"He was also the one who turned your best friend against you and tried to help his father" The Queen reminds her oldest daughter.
"He was confused and hurt he didn't know what he was dong" Red tries defending him.
"Be that as it may, Maddox is still his father and that is a tie that is very hard to break" the Queen says more to herself.
As this exchange happens Pink just stands there watching her mother and sister go back and forth
Neither ask her what she thinks
Again she is overlooked
It shouldn't bother her since it happens all the time but she thought helping her sister save wonderland had proved that she could be a hero too.
That she could be more that Princess Pink
The Queen's youngest Daughter
Red's little sister
But again it seems she is the odd girl out of this family.
But in that moment she was also not sure who she would side with
Was Red right ?
Could they trust Max?
Yes he helped them save Wonderland
But Pink was realizing she didn't know Max. Yes they seen each other in school and around Wonderland
But he never attended special events
Even at school he tended to keep more to himself
Did he have friends?
Yes he sometimes could be seen with Hazel, Felix and the Twins but were they his friends?
Max was a mystery
So how could they trust him?

Word had spread fast about his father's escape
It was not long before guards are coming to let Max know he has been summoned by the Queen.
As he is escorted through the kingdom he can't help but notice all the stares and whispers
He knew what they were all thinking
He's just like his father
the apple probably doesn't fall far from the tree
Guess helping save Wonderland earns you no respect
He will always be the son of a villain

The guards bring him into the throne room where the queen is waiting.
The queen sits at her throne and from the corner of his eyes he can see both her daughters.standing on the side.
"Max Hatter, I assume you know why you were brought in" the queen asks
"It's not for tea, im sure" he says sarcastically and he immediately coughs and straightens "i'm sorry your majesty.
"Your father has escaped, do you have any idea where he would be?" she asks
"no" he answers simply
"You are not helping him?" she asks
"I would never help my father" he answers immediately
"You did once though" she points out
"Mom, Max wouldn't betray us" Red points out as she approaches her mother
From the corner of his eye he saw Pink
The youngest Princess
She was silent
He was curious what she could be thinking
Does she agree with her mother?
Wouldn't be the first time Pink questioned his loyalty
"You're siding with them?...with him"
"He could be in it with his dad for all we know"
He still remembers that night vividly.
It wasn't the first time his loyalty had been questioned
But that night
It hit harder and he is not sure why.
Does she still feel the same?
Why does he care ?
Why did her opinion matter to him?
He is so lost in his thoughts he almost misses when the Queen begins to address him again
"My daughter seems to have faith in you Max so I will as well, do not make us regret it" she warns calmly
Max nods "Understood your majesty"
He is excused and leaves the palace and as he makes his way home he continues to avoid the stares and whispers.
