Work Text:

“IM BOOOOORRRRRREEDDDDDDDDUHH.” The wretched green goblin typewriter whined to seemingly nobody but themself, body splayed out on the ground of their humble abode (tent. It’s a tent.)

Thankfully, The voice which Gingi referred to as the “Narrator”quickly responded to their complaining, trying to find a way to cure the poor, poor creatures boredom.

“Well, whats something you CAN do? I’m sure theres something that can entertain you.”

Typegingi waved their arms up in the air whining loudly continuing to complain “No there ISNT!! I couldn’t find anything interesting to do!! The stupid bunny burger guy already told me to screw off, saying i was “scaring his customers away” or WHATEVER and-“

The Narrator, already getting irritated with hearing Gingi talk for too long (as any sane person would), decidedly cut them off before they could keep ranting.

“Okay, okay. enough of that. Who’s SOMEONE  who’d probably not tell you to fuck off as soon as you approached them?” The disconnected voice said flatly.

“Hhhmmmmmm ouhhggggh….” The repulsive green cryptid groaned as they thought to themself. Which took longer than it should’ve.

After maybe 5 minutes, they finally swiftly shot up off the ground, seemingly having an idea.

“KARBO.” The green creechur stated loudly. Before waiting to get any reply from the strange voice in their head, they quickly shot out of their tent and ran to Karen’s apartment.

After an unknown amount of time spent running, they were at Karen’s door, which was illuminated by the purple light above it. Suddenly, the Narrator chimed in again.

“So what are you gonna do-“

Before he could even finish his sentence. The repulsive green creature started to loudly bang on the door while yelling “KARRENNNNNN.” quite disruptively.

You wouldn’t be able to hear it over the yelling and banging, but Karens footsteps hurriedly walked to the door. The apartment door swung open with a very startled printer at the door.

“Well hello there my ink churning maiden!” The goblin said calmly, as if they weren’t just screaming a minute ago.

“What did I say about- okay, actually never mind. Gingi is something wrong or did you just want some attention?” The short-ish women sighed while crossing her arms, although she wasn’t actually annoyed, it was more playful than anything.

“I was BORED karbo!” Typegingi pouted while their webbed tail swished behind them.

Despite her not having a face, you could feel the horror on her printer. “Typegingi. Never. Ever. Do that again.” (Even if Gingi thinks it’s normal, it looks absolutely REPULSIVE when they try to smile or frown.)

After ignoring that horrifying scene, the green critter continued on “Okay. Can i come in. The bugs in my tent haven’t been doing anything interesting today and I think I upset the squash.”

Karen scooted out of the way and invited Gingi in, which they quickly accepted, rushing into the apartment excitedly. The printer looked back at them and giggled at their excitement, closing the door behind her and she stepped in further.

At first when meeting Typegingi, she was a bit more judgemental of them. but as the two got closer, Gingi’s…”quirks” became more likeable over time. (And Karen would never admit it, but she loves the stupid nicknames Gingi gives her.)

“WOW Karamel! Your room is certainly more horsey-like since I’ve been here last time.” Typegingi stated while looking around Karen’s apartment, tail wagging.

“Mhm. I was able to get some new antiques.” The woman commented back happily while rocking the small wooden horses on her shelf with her index finger.

While the green cryptid was looking around, they took notice of a small pile of papers on the ground, while the printer was busy rocking the horses on her shelf around, Typegingi crouched down and picked up the first paper from the pile.

The drawing was of them and Karen, hugging each other. There was clearly alot of time and effort into it, you could still some of the previous lines and mistakes that hadn’t be fully erased.

“This drawings nice.” The typewriter said sweetly, quickly getting the other woman’s attention. She stepped over and looked at the drawing, she quickly felt her printer warming up after seeing what drawing Gingi had picked up.

“Oh um…you-you think so?” The printer stuttered, visibly embarrassed.

Gingi stood up and cheerfully nodded at Karen, still holding the paper in their hand. The printer avoided eye contact with the typewriter, fiddling with the collar of her tan coloured shirt.

Despite the woman being very embarrassed she quietly proposed something to Gingi. “Would you… want to see the others?”

The cryptid lit up, excitedly wagging their tail and bouncing on their heels, nodding eagerly and swiftly jumping onto Karen’s bed. Karen bent down and picked up all the papers before sitting on the bed with Gingi.

The two went through all the drawings in the pile, with Karen explaining the reason behind majority of them as the typewriter looked at them happily.

“And this one was made after I was walking through Uptown and I saw a flower shop, the green flowers reminded me of you so-“

Before Karen could finish talking, Gingi interrupted. “You really think about me alot.” Gingi said sincerely.

Karen looked away shyly, feeling her printer heat up again, she mumbled her words as she replied “yeah I guess I do.”

Gingi giggled mischievously, seeing how the printer got flustered by their comment. Merely for fun, they quickly laid on her lap, similarly to a cat.

The woman was startled at first, but quickly adjusted. Karen pushed the rest of the papers aside so she could have more room to lay down on her bed.

The printer laid back and Gingi crawled up so they would be laying on top of her. As the two settled down, Karen brought her hand up and started to gently pet the typewriter.

As they both cuddled together, a certain noise caught Karens attention. As she payed more attention to it, she noticed it was soft purring noise.

“Gingi, are you…are you purring?” She giggled.

“I- uHM NO!!” Typegingi retorted, tail swishing faster.

The two settled down again, Gingi’s soft purring filling up the silence in the room as Karen continued to pet them.

Karen thought to herself: this was nice. Laying together comfortably as the sun shined through the window right next to her bed, the sun warming up where the two were.

As if they could almost read Karens thoughts. Gingi spoke,

“This is nice.”

Karen nodded back, looking out the window to see the beautiful scene of the sunset. Unlike her, Gingi was looking at what they thought was much more pretty: Karen. They brought their rough hand up to the side of Karen’s printer head. Karen flinched, startled by the sudden touch, but calmed down after a second.

The cryptid brought themself up and gently bumped their typewritter into Karens printer head, As objects didn’t exactly have mouths, this was how people kissed. The printer made a mechanical whirring noise as her fans had to make up for how much her face was heating up.

The two pulled away for a second before Karen quickly repated the action for a second, pushing her printer against Gingis sewn together typewritter. Typegingi giggled gleefully while kicking their feet before laying down on karen again. The woman wrapped her arms around the green cryptid comfortably.

They both cuddled together, enjoying each others presence as they both looked at the sun, still setting beautifully.
