Porcelain pieces were on the ground.
Gangle's comedy mask is broken, which she hardly has time to notice before an NPC blocks her view and pushes her against a locker.
Caine must of wanted to fully emulate the school experience. He had gotten bullying a little wrong though. A little cliche. But no one had time to nitpick about that.
Gangle's backpack was being dug through. The NPC pulled out her sketchbook, a look of malice on his face. He flipped open to a page and laughed, calling on his friends to show it off.
"You're a waste of space." He chuckles down at Gangle, who is closing her eyes, willing herself to retort. She comes up with nothing. He smirks, and punches her square in the chest. Gangle struggles to breathe, praying for this stupid adventure, that's practically a reality show twist on her high school days, to end. Just as the NPC starts to make another trashy remark, he's interrupted.
"Fuck off and leave her alone." The voice is monotone, yet feminine at the same time. Its a voice Gangle has heard I the position of the NPC before. And its a voice Gangle hasn't ever heard defend her.
"Come on." Jax hands her her backpack and starts walking, motioning for Gangle to follow. Gangle hurried along behind her, still shook up from the encounter.
"D'ya need to.. Like.. Go to the nurse? or something..?" Gangle shakes her head, just wanting this whole thing to be done with.
"Here, ya want me to carry your stuff? Zooble's in... Math right now I think, we can go get them." Gangle silently hands over that stuff, surprised at the outright kindness from JAX, of all people. They walk in silence for a while, until Jax finally speaks up.
"Sorry. Im sorry. Okay? I said it" Gangle looks at her in confusion. Jax continues.
"Yeah, I was shitty. And this isn't gonna... Fix that. But you can talk to me. And you can trust me. And I know your gonna take a while to forgive me, but.. Im sorry. For the mask. For the bullying. For the name." Gangle looks up. Who is this, and what has she done with Jax.
Jax stops abruptly in front of a door.
".... Zooble's in there."
