Summary
Lord Rickard Stark had already been in King’s Landing for a few days prior to the Lannister party’s arrival and met them as soon as they arrived outside the gates. Oberyn had heard through the grapevine that Lord Stark had paid a number of people to alert him when the Lannister party was spotted on their way in. Oberyn happened to be nearby when the host of Stark soldiers quickly rode behind Rickard to meet them outside the city gates.
The end of Sansa's first marriage due to only having daughters helps her find her second marriage.
