First Chapter Lets do it!

Chapter Text

Zanka had just gotten out of an early morning training session ,and after a shower, he was heading down to the mess hall. Just as he had expected, Riyo and Enjin were already sitting down waiting for him. As soon as they noticed him, they put on their biggest shit-eating grin.

“Heyyyyy Zanka,” Riyo said in a mocking tone.

“What is it now, Riyo?” Zanka said, already tired of her shenanigans.

“Our dear Hellguard is visiting for the next two weeks!” Enjin tried to say cheerfully. But as soon as Zanka heard the word Hellguard, he knew it was over.

Later that night—after Rudo’s training session lasted two hours because he couldn't get a single stance right—came a very loud game night, in which everybody over the age of 21 got drunk until their minds went blank. Now Zanka was finally in his room trying to go to sleep after a long night of hauling all the grown-ups to bed.

All he wanted to do was to sit in his bed and sleep the night away. But to his dismay, his choker was buzzing loudly. All he could do to settle the noise was answer it, only to find out it was none other than Jabber Wronger.

Zanka answered with a cold, “What?”

The voice on the other end was very happy to hear him. “Mister Bad Attitude!” Jabber said playfully. “You finally answer after days of leaving me hanging!”

“Jabber, make this very quick, as I want to go to sleep,” Zanka said, his voice laced with a hint of anger.

“Oooo, feisty as ever, Zan-zan!” said Jabber, beaming with mischief. “All I wanted to know is if you were up to a late-night fight. Think of it as training for our next battle, you know!”

Zanka mumbled to himself, “Maybe this won't be a bad idea.”

“Huuuuuh, what was that, Zan-zan?”

“Friday, 10 p.m. sharp. If you’re not there in five minutes, this arrangement is done.” That was the last thing said as he hung up and drifted to sleep.
