Work Text:

The Night was long, a little too long for Jason and it was exhausting. Black Mask had made a move again and the take-down took longer than expected, even Red Hood, only for Batman and his allies to swoop in and take the win.

Red Hood had quickly taken revenge by shooting Batman in the leg, afterall: Jason is petty and still angry that Bruce didn’t avenge him. On his way out he made sure to kick the Robin that came after him in the Shin, Damian had told him the third Robin had re-branded as ‘Red Robin’.

How intuitive.” Jason had thought when the current Robin, Damian, had told him.

With that Red Hood ran out of the building, making a small movement Robin had caught and nodded.

Now back at Home Jason laid on his sofa like a dead fish, maybe even worse, before turning over with a groan and blindly searching for his phone that was somewhere one the ground discarded.

When he finally found it he let out a sigh of relief: “There you are… I need you for money…” With that he unlocked his phone and scrolled through his comments on his newest video.

"Mmh… a family owned Vietnamese restaurant in Blüdhaven… not that far away, might be worth it.”

With that the next food review was locked in for Jason, determined to go to that restaurant the next day at lunch Time, he could even drive with his bike there. That was his last thought before he fell asleep and got much needed rest.

Jason had driven with his motorbike to Blüdhaven, trading his Red Hood Helmet for a normal bike helmet. He found the restaurant rather quickly and locked his bike before going in.

A young man of Asian ethnicity quickly came over to Jason with a pleasant smile.

“Chào Anh, are you alone or with a group?”

“I’m alone, could I get a table in a more isolated place? I plan to film and don’t want to have people in the background who don’t want to be there.”

The waiter looked at Jason and nodded, “Follow me then.”

Jason followed the shorter man into a corner to a table with four chairs and pointed at it for Jason before giving the dark haired man with a white tuft of hair the menu. With that the waiter walked away.

Jason had looked around a little, most of the chairs are made of light-colored rattan with curved armrests and woven cane backrests, while others are simple wooden chairs. Some of the chairs have light cream-colored cushioned seats, giving the dining area a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

On the table, there are two portable tabletop grills placed on woven brown placemats, suggesting that guests can cook their food at the table. Between the grills, there is a small decorative vase with a flower. Each place setting also includes a placemat and cutlery, making the table ready for guests to enjoy a meal.

Jason had to admit he liked it. He pulled out his phone and used one of the tabletop grills as a tripod and Jason started recording.

“Yo guys. Today I am at a Vietnamese restaurant you guys recommended. Almost everything is made out of wood, look guys.”

Jason tilted his phone up showing the low hanging lamp over him that was shaped like a lotus.

“Very beautiful. For aesthetic and the vibe so far it’s a 10/10 for me, it has nice music that isn’t too loud and overall is a bit more quiet. Anyway.”

Jason opened the Menu and looked through it. At the end he landed on two main dishes and one dessert, sue him he hadn’t eaten the day before and last night was horrible with Black Mask. He choose Thập cẩm nướng, which is a mixed grilled with grilled beef with lemongrass, grilled beef wrapped in betel leaves and Shrimp wrapped in a crispy bacon coating with rice on the side.

His second main dish he chose is Phở gà. It’s one of the restaurant's bestsellers, so Jason obviously has to eat it. Phở gà is a traditional Vietnamese soup made with a fragrant chicken broth, flat rice noodles, tender chicken, and fresh herbs, often served with lime, bean sprouts, basil, and chili on the side.

As his dessert Jason chose fried Lychees with Honey and Vanilla Ice Cream. It sounded good enough for Jason so he chose it. With that in mind Jason called the waiter over to order and he waited patiently for his food.

Dick was walking home. He was still tired from the night before, having to deal with Black Mask and some minor thugs in Gotham, since Bruce went a little insane and apparently saw Jason. Sure Damian had said Jason was alive but Damian is Damian.

Damian had never met Jason so there’s no way Damian could know Jason. Maybe Dick and Bruce had talked too much and too often about Little Wing when Damian was around and Damian just hallucinated to have known Jason to fit in.

“Hah… I’m still a horrible Brother… I failed Jason and Damian now thinks he knows Jason…” Dick sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, “Maybe I could’ve avoided it if I adopted little wing-”

Dick went extremely still when he spotted a familiar motorbike

“W-wha- why is the Red Hood's bike here..”

Dick almost fainted thinking about the fact that the Crime Lord, Red Robin bully and somewhat(?) Vigilante Red Hood is in Blüdhaven. HIS Blüdhaven!

Jason just absolutely finished devouring his meal. He was full and satisfied and leaned back in the chair feeling like a satisfied cat. In his own opinion he would be a fat cat.

He looked at the camera and burped. “Honestly guys I was so hungry and this food was so good that I can only give this a 10/10. The homemade lemonade isn’t really for me, I don't like the Mint after taste.”

He pointed at the half finished glass of the homemade lemonade.

“If your breath is a little smelly this might even help, hell I still feel the mint.” he complained slightly.

“Like I said earlier, the vibe and look is a 10/10 for me. The Thập cẩm nướng is nice but mixed if you don’t like that they do have it not mixed with only one thing, but honestly it didn’t have much sauce so it’s a 8/10 for me.”

Jason looked at the now empty plate he scarfed down like a starved man, as he was slightly famished from the night before. After that he turned his head to the empty bowl.

“The Phở gà is a solid 9/10 there’s a reason it’s a best selling dish, though i think therr was too much bean sprout for me, but that personal prefrence. The Dessert is a 9/10 for me, but then again I am a sucker for Lychee.. Overall I'll give this place a 8.5/10. Definitely worth a visit. That’s all for now, bye!”

Jason called the waiter over, paid for his meal, left a hefty tip and left.

The tall man stretched as he walked out of the restaurant only to find Dick, his former big brother having a stare off with his bike and apparently losing, not that Jason knows how to even start a staring contest with a motorbike.

Dick was glaring at the Motorbike when he heard a cough and looked up only to freeze in horror.

There was a guy. As tall as Bruce- actually no, taller. He even looked a little like Bruce.

But the man had a white tuft of hair and toxic green eyes, like Damian, but most importantly he looked like how Dick imagined Jason to look like, if little Wing had thd chance to grow up into an adult.

Dick stared at the guy, who looked somewhere between annoyed and slightly nervous? Dick looked ready to cry but held himself together.

“Is this the guy B saw when he was patrolling?” Dick thought not tearing his eyes away from the tall man. His mouth had gone dry but he quickly schooled himself and looked away.

“Sorry, you remind me of someone…”

The green-eyed man let out a gruff, almost like Bruce did when Dick and Jason were Robin.

“Uhm… not to overstep but can I know your name?” Dick asked and watched the other guy's shoulder tense, which Grayson found peculiar.

“...My name is Tason,” The man answered, “Can you move, you’re right in front of my bike.”

Dick quickly moved “Y-yeah no problem Jaso- i mean Tason.”

The guy, Tason, mounted his bike and put his helmet on, which looked extremely similar to Red Hood way in Dicks opinion, before speeding off.

Grayson watched dumbly as Tason rode off to god knows where with his bike.

If this was the Guy B saw then yeah, he looks like how one would imagine a grown-up Jason. But more importantly his Bike looked like Red Hoods and his movement were almost identical to the crime lords.

But Dick decided to keep that to himself, wanting to Imagine Tason as what Jason could’ve been, it made him sad yet happy at the same time.

Jason was sweating bullets as he drove home.

“Oh my god I’m so dumb!” He whisper-yelled under his bike helmet “Instead of just giving a different name like Tom, but no you had to go with Tason! You fucking imbecile!”

The only reason Jason had even said Tason was A) because he was nervous and B) Bruce once told Jason when he was Robin and if he ever were to have a car and park somewhere illegally to just switch the first letter of the first and last name since the GPC won’t work hard to uncover an illegal parker.

“You fucking idiot! I can’t believe i said that, no way he’ll believe that!”

At home he threw his helmet away and sat on the sofa, accepting that Dick now knows along with Damian that he’s still alive.

He was in the middle of his dramatic brooding-and-eventual-crying-session, only for it to be rudely interrupted by phone notifications.

Jason abandoned his brooding-and-eventual-crying-session and picked up his phone to see Damian having sent him a message

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────

Little Brat (Robin/Damian)

Damian: Akhi.

Damian: Akhi.

Damian: Akhi.

Damian: Akhi.

Jason: What?

Damian: Were you in Bludhaven today?

Jason: Yes. Unfortunately.

Damian: Have you met Richard today?

Jason: Yah I did, I messed up, I know.

Damian: Out of everything you choose Tason?!

Jason: I WAS NERVOUS

Damian: Whatever. Richard is talking to father about ‘the stranger that looks like grown-up Jason”

Jason: ….

Jason: So my cover isn’t blown?

Damian: No. Lucky for you. But you must stick with Tason if you come across the others.

Jason: Good to know

Jason: Thanks Damian.

Damian: No problem Akhi, in return I wish to be in a video with you.

Jason: Why? Not famous enough?

Damian: No, my classmates talk about wanting to meet internet celebrities and I want to do it first. Personally I would’ve chosen someone who talks about football, someone who takes care of animals or an artist but that would take too long.

Damian: I need to be in a video so I can show off a little in front of my classmates. Billy was quicker than me last time.

Jason: Whatever we can do that, but only because I don’t like those billy kid parents.

Damian: Fine by me. Goodbye Akhi.

*Jason replied to ‘Fine by me. Goodbye Akhi’ with a 👍*

Jason almost celebrated out-loud from his cover not being blown but quickly shut himself up and only grinned widely.

He quickly sat down at his kitchen table to cut the video he made today, sparing no thought about the Promise he just made to Damian and his run-in with Dick today, and only focused to finish the video and upload itnto his channel Fatson Yumm.

Notes:

Tim is next, after that it's either Alfred or maybe Cassandra and lastly it's Damian in the order of the next oneshots to this little series
