Manon was making sure Danielle’s veil was centered on her head, as Heeseung was adjusting the bottom of the veil.
“I can’t believe I’m the last one out of the three of us to get married,” Danielle commented, biting back her smile.
“No offence Dani, but I was near positive you’d be the first one to walk down the aisle,” Heeseung said, standing up to stretch his sore legs.
“Nah, I always knew Heeseung would be the first one to get married,” Manon said, moving Danielle’s curly hair to the front of her dress, “you look very beautiful ‘elle.”
Yunah, Heeseung’s sister and Manon’s sister-in-law, did a great job with Danielle’s dress, every stitch was perfect and it made Danielle look like a princess.
“Yea, our baby is all grown,” Heeseung said, only pretending to pinch Danielle’s cheeks, in order to not mess up the makeup Jake spent hours on.
“Shut up!” Danielle said, slapping Heeseung’s hands away, she was trying to be annoyed but she couldn’t hide her smile.
Manon laughed at her friends’ antics, leaning against the wall smiling.
…
“Auntie Manon!” Riki yelled, the seven year old was dragging a sobbing Yoonchae with him.
Manon panicked seeing her crying toddler, she dropped to her knees and tried to carefully assess the situation while soothing her child.
“Shh, it’s okay baby,” Manon said, petting her daughter’s hair, letting her cry into her chest, “you’re okay sweetie.”
“Ni-ki what happened?” Heeseung asked, kneeling down to his son’s level.
“Yoonie and I were playing and she fell and got an ouchie on her knee!” Ni-ki exclaimed, “ I didn’t want to interrupt Auntie Danielle, Appa, I swear but I couldn’t find Yoonie’s Eomma!”
“Don’t worry, kiddo, you did the right thing,” Danielle leaned down to Ni-ki’s level and messed up his hair.
A few seconds passed before Yoonchae pulled out of the hug, her bottom lip was still trembling but she stopped crying.
“Yoon, do you want a Miraculous Ladybug bandaid or a Bluey bandaid?” Danielle asked, kneeling to the toddler’s level, she held up the two boxes of bandaids.
Yoonchae rubbed her teary eyes and pointed a trembling finger to the box of Miraculous Ladybug bandaids.
Danielle handed Manon the box of bandaids, which Manon promptly took, she grabbed a few bandages and let Yoonchae pick which specific one she wanted.
Manon placed her daughter’s bandaid of choice on top of Yoonchae’s scrapped knee, pressing a kiss on top of the ‘ouchie’ afterwards.
“There you go, do you feel better?” Manon asked, she rubbed Yoonchae’s elbows in a soothing manner, “do you want to go play with Riki, oppa again?”
Yoonchae nodded and Manon pressed a bunch of dramatic exaggerated kisses to the top of her head, causing the little girl to giggle.
“Go have fun sweetie, Mama loves you so much,” Manon said, elongating the word ‘so’ because she just knew it would make the toddler laugh.
“I love you too Mama!” Yoonchae said before toddling off with Riki.

When the two kids scurried off, Manon collapsed against the vanity, physical exhaustion coursing through her bones.
Heeseung collapsed next to her, both of Danielle’s best friends silently bonding over their parental status.
Danielle bit her lip when she noticed her niece got a little bit of snot on her mom’s dress.
She really didn’t care about if her friends had snot on their dresses or tuxes but Dani knew that Manon would appreciate the gesture.
Danielle went over and wetted a paper towel, pressing the towel over the snot spot on Manon’s dress, cleaning off the dress as gently as possible.
“Thank you, ‘Elle,” Manon said to Danielle, holding her hands rubbing them soothingly, “You didn’t have to do that.”
“I wanted to,” Danielle said, pulling the older girl into a hug, they embraced before Manon forcefully pulled Heeseung into the hug.

Heeseung was forcefully pulled into the hug by Manon, he didn’t mind in the slightest embracing his two best friends.
“You guys are the best,” Danielle said as she pulled back from the hug, she was teary eyed, “I’m so lucky to have you two.”
“No, we're lucky to have you, ‘Elle,” Manon said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head, “Let’s get you down the aisle.”
“Manon, what about our plan?” Heeseung said, gesturing to the small box on the vanity.
The trio had a tradition where for each of their weddings, the other two would chip in to get a small piece of jewelry for the person getting married.
It started at his wedding, where Manon and Danielle chipped in to buy a bracelet with Jake and Heeseung’s birthstones and wedding date engraved in the back.
For Manon’s wedding, Heeseung and Danielle bought Manon a dainty necklace with both Manon and Nayoung’s birthstones, a pearl and a synthetic diamond respectively, as the focal point.
(When Yoonchae was adopted, Heeseung and Danielle got Manon a blue zircon to add to the necklace.)
Now for Danielle’s wedding Manon and Heeseung got small emerald earrings with synthetic diamonds around it, as an emerald is Haerin’s birthstone and a diamond is Danielle’s birthstone.
They had gotten the earrings from Sunghoon and Jay’s jewelry store, they knew it would be perfect for Danielle the second the duo saw it.
“Oh, yea!” Manon said, she shifted over to the vanity grabbing the small box, cupping it in her hand.
“Danielle, we have a surprise for you” Heeseung said, Danielle turned over immediately noticing the box in Manon’s hands.
Danielle broke into a soft smile, another round of tears forming in her eyes, it made Heeseung get teary eyed as well.
The three of them had been together through thick and thin, when they met they were alone but now they have thrived together.

Danielle took the box from Manon and held it in her hands, pressing it to her chest, silently preparing herself for what's inside.
When Danielle looked up she could see the anticipation on her friend’s faces, they were also getting teary eyed.
Heeseung gave a gesture, telling her to open the box, Manon mirrored Heeseung’s gesture encouraging her as well.
Danielle opened the box, she was met with the most gorgeous pair of earrings. The gemstones were a mix of both her own birthstone and her soon-to-be-wife’s birthstone.
Danielle’s heart melted, tears forming in her eyes, she pressed her free hand to her chest overwhelmed by emotions.
“Do you like it?” Manon asked, Danielle’s head snapped up to look her friends in their eyes.
“Oh, I love it,” Danielle said, choking back tears as she looked back down at the earrings, “Can you guys help me put it on?”
“Of course, ‘Elle,” Manon said with a soft smile forming on her face, she had the same look she had given Yoonchae when she took her first steps.
Heeseung had the same smile and look on his face as Manon, which also happened to be the one he gave Riki.
Heeseung and Manon put Danielle’s earrings on, when they were done Danielle pulled the two of them into a tight hug refusing to let them go.

“I hate to interrupt the group hug but the wedding is about to start,” Sunoo, one of the wedding planners, said.
“Sunoo, let them have their moment!” Sophia scolded, elbowing him causing him to roll his eyes, “Lara, did you get a photo of that?”
“Yea I did,” Lara said, her camera was around her neck, “I need to go prepare my camera for some action shots.”
“We’re going to be out soon, just hurry up,” Sunoo said, dragging his fellow wedding planner with him.
“Well, we heard them,” Heeseung said, pressing a kiss to the top of Danielle’s head, “Let’s get this show on the road.”
“Are you ready?” Manon asked, also pressing a kiss to Danielle’s forehead, before giving her a quick hug.
“Yea, I’m ready,” Danielle said, smiling at her friends, “I love you two so much."
“I love you too,” both Heeseung and Manon said at the exact same time, causing all three of them to laugh.
“Let’s get you down the aisle, ‘Elle,” Manon said, Heeseung nodded as well, backing up her statement.
Danielle took a deep breath, grabbing her bouquet that Minju, Yunah’s fiance, arranged for her personally, before walking out of the changing room with her two friends.
