    All of Dean Winchester's friends and family are getting married and he couldn't be happier for them. Marriage is the perfect next step and the more he ruminates, the more he realizes that's what he wants with Cas. In theory it should be simple since they're already living together, just get the ring and propose. But there's one small issue:

    Cas hates, and has always hated, marriage.

    When Dean proposes without floating the idea to Cas or any of their mutual friends in the midst of marriage season it goes down like a lead balloon. With things as tense as they'd been all those years ago in Willowmoor. Both Cas and Dean must fight to find the best path forward.
