Day of the departed went well. I mean Cole got his physical body back so. Win win right? Sure Cole developed a little cough and he felt weak some days but he was sure it was just his immune system trying to catch up.
That was until Cole started having trouble breathing at times and he would have coughing fits. And random dizzy spells especially during training. It was manageable so he could keep it a secret.
Till the wheezing started basically in the middle of community day. Where the ninjas spend a few hours together playing board games watch their designated tv show. Or really anything they can bond with together.
“Cole it is you turn to roll the dice” Zane informed Cole. Cole snapped out of his space out picking up the dice.
“ move fou-“ Cole started coughing while trying to breathe normally but a wheeze was making its way into his breathing pattern.
“Cole!? Calm down buddy breathe.”
“Cole needs sufficient oxygen Jay move so I can see.”Zane pushed Jay out of the way into Lloyd’s area who watched in horror. Zane proceeded to help Cole with his breathing keeping calm when the wheezing got worse and Cole started too pale. All the way up till Cole was breathing normally.
“Cole?”
Cole snapped out of his zone out again. “Oh huh?”
“Are you okay? Should I run a diagnostic just incase?” Zane’s blue eyes piercing into Cole’s brain almost.
“I’m completely fine! Just allergies or something.” Cole dryly laughed
“ are you sure Cole?”
“I’m fine but i think I need to go home for a few hours. I’ll be back in an hour and a half maybe.” Cole urgently said already walking out to his room before he finished his sentence.
“That was weird.” Nya stated
“ I-I’m gonna go check on Cole.” Lloyd blurted. Walking after Cole. Lloyd’s heart still racing from earlier. I mean Cole was basically a father to Lloyd. Lloyd doesn’t even know what he would do without Cole.
Lloyd crept to Cole’s room where he heard Cole’s voice harsh and quickly muttering. Cole’s voice sounded shaky though. Like he was scared or going to cry. So Lloyd slowly approached knocking on the door before walking in. He saw Cole wipe his eye with his hand before turning around to face Lloyd hanging up the phone. He tried to smile but it didn’t reach his eyes and it seemed fake all the way through.
“H-hi! Lloyd um hi.”
“Dad? Are you okay.”
Cole’s smile faltered slightly. “I’m sorry did that scare you? I’m sorry Lloyd.” Cole approached Lloyd hugging him tight.
Lloyd’s eyes burned. His lip lightly quivered into Cole’s shoulder. He felt a few tears start slipping out of his eyes onto Cole’s shirt. Cole just pushed Lloyd further into his embrace. Giving Lloyd a crushing hug. As he lightly cried into his shoulder. But Lloyd was getting heavy to support in the way Cole was holding Lloyd.
Cole shifted his arms one support his upper body and one going down to lift Lloyd up easily. Before Lloyd was curled up against his side. All Cole did was lightly hum and rub Lloyd’s back gently. Cole waited for Lloyd’s breathing to slow. Once it slowed to a regular sleeping pace he put Lloyd down on his bed covering him up before walking out the door and going to his dad on his bike.
Cole shot a quick text to the group chat that he was at his dad before knocking. Coughing from the adrenaline that caused him to breathe less.
The door swung open Cole’s dad Lou revealing on the other side. Lou pulled Cole in the second he saw him.
“ are you okay!?l Lou obviously panicked.
“I’m okay.”
Lou’s shoulders relaxed a bit. “ I was gonna make some tea would you like some. I have cookies?”
“ yes Ill take some tea thank you.” Cole smiled. Cole knew that whenever there was cookies at his dad’s house they were his mom’s recipe. Lou walked away for a few moments putting tea on.
The bike here started effecting Cole. His breaths getting more ragged and rough his head was spinning it felt fussy and light. Then his vision started blotching black spots dancing around his vision. He felt faint before he dropped and the world faded to black
