Chapter Text
Isack doesn't know how he ended up on Reddit, let alone in the puppy-play subreddits, but one thing is for sure: he's screwed.
To put it in context, since his time at Red Bull, even though he puts on his best smile for the media, it doesn't mean he is fitting in well with the team. In reality, it's quite the opposite, and the fact that his TikTok feed only shows him Racing Bull videos is even more painful.
Although it has nothing to do with her growing crush on a certain driver from that certain team, no, not at all…
Maybe a little? But at the same time, who can blame Isack when Liam's smile in the Vcarb videos with Arvid is just as, if not more, happy than when Isack was clowning around with him? It's painful to see oneself replaced like an old, worn-out toy by a new and younger one, as if one had never existed.
The worst part is, certainly, the way Liam blocked him without a second thought after he was transferred. Because when Isack received his transfer email, the first thing he did was send a message to Liam to announce the news, but as soon as he did, he saw that the blond had blocked him.
Later he learned that he had received his promotion at the same time it was posted online, which barely half-explained the blocking.
In short, as a result, Isack found himself spending time with Max, but Max was not Liam (just as Isack was not Charles), which made their relationship, not tense but... boring, and this was true for both of them.
But as much as Max was not Liam, Arvid was not Isack, and this information seemed to delight the New Zealander, unlike Isack, who felt like he was sinking ever since Liam had blocked him.
Since he was a kid, he used to mock the portrayals of love in movies or even from his mother's mouth; he never would have believed he would wake up in a sweat, Liam's name on his lips, tears in his eyes, and his mind in a fog. Unable to fall back asleep except to the sound of Liam's voice on last year's Vcarb TikToks (because this year's ones made him want to vomit at the sound of Arvid's one), he despised himself for using those videos for that reason; he felt like a crazy fan...
And he hates himself for it, because Arvid is a good guy, who in no way deserves hate, and even less so from a jealous Isack. Damn it…
This anxiety that keeps her from sleeping, during another sleepless night, led her straight to Reddit. He was on TikTok when he saw screenshots of a Reddit thread, and for once, it had nothing to do with Liam (the liar).
And, while checking the link, then the similar articles on this topic unrelated to Liam, he found himself on the NSFW subreddits.
With his hand gently resting on his cock, he continued to read everything that came his way, from impact play to temperature play, including piss kink, and inevitably arriving at puppy play.
It was... intriguing.
Yet, Isack went through dozens of posts, from collar designs to cage ones, including the unofficial rules. And as he learned more, he became increasingly intrigued, not to be a puppy, but to take care of one. Despite the fact that his brain can only see one candidate for this role (who is he to want to corrupt Liam? Vcarb's propaganda has affected him too much...)
Anyway, he scrolled through the requests and ads for handlers, but none really caught his attention, so he kept swiping.
Each pup on Reddit only asked for in-person relationships, or remote ones but with a photo, and Isack couldn't afford that. So he continued his frantic search without really having a goal, because when did his desire become such that he had set himself up in his living room with his PC at 3 a.m.? He didn't know.
But what he knew was that this ad suited him well:

[Looking for a Handler]
Hey.
I'm a pup (22+), still figuring myself out, looking for a handler who's interested in building an actual connection.
I'm not looking to meet in person, at least not anytime soon. For personal reasons, I need to keep this entirely online. Messages, checking in, training, praise, routines... that's what I'm after.
I've noticed that most people lose interest the second I say I don't do IRL, and that's been pretty discouraging.
If you're looking for someone to immediately collar in real life, I'm probably not the pup for you.
But if you're patient, enjoy talking every day, and like the idea of watching a pup slowly trust you over time, I'd love to hear from you.
Just send me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, what kind of handler you are, and what you're looking for.
— Will 🐾
The message was very clear: just an online relationship, no pictures, videos, or face-to-face interactions. It was sent a day ago, and the post had not received a response. Before clicking on his own messages to get in touch with the pup, he may have thought about Isack in his direct messages.
After a few moments of hesitation, he decided to send something straightforward and not overly demanding:
