When the Tea Leaves Fall

Summary:

Hello! This is an idea I’ve had for a while and I’m running out of motivation to write other stuff. And what do we do when we have two unfinished projects?

Start another project!

Chapter 1: How I Fell

Chapter Text

Sage’s POV:

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Hello.

Welcome to the story of how I fell.

I was walking in the woods around a mile away from my house.

The woods were a huge place full of raw nature.

It was my favorite place to be, it made me feel connected to the world around me.

There was a huge ravine in the middle of the forest that was about 20 feet deep.

The only way of crossing was this wooden bridge, I stood there sometimes and just looked down at what was there.

Except today was different, today there was a young girl, about my age walking down there. I had no idea how she got there.

She had blue hair and light skin, she was wearing a white off the shoulder sweater with overalls over it.

And then the rope guardrail snapped.

The girl looked up.

”Oh shit”

I fell on top of her.

“Oh my God are you okay?”

She shoved me off her.

”I’m fine, who are you mysterious stranger?”

”I’m Sage”

”I didn’t ask your name. I asked who you were”

What?

”They’re the same thing?”

”No they’re not”

”What do you mean?”

”After a bit with me you’ll realize that people are a lot more than their names”

“Well then who are you?”

She stood up. ”A fabulously dressed being of chaos”

I laughed. “Okay and what’s your name?”

”My name’s Lavender”

Then I remembered that I was in a ravine. “Uh, could you help me get out of here?”

“Oh, sure”

She grabbed my hand and pulled me to a wall, she climbed up like a professional, as if she’d been doing it for years.

”Well come on!”

I tried my best to mimic what she did but near the top I slipped, she grabbed my arm and hoisted me up.

”Good first try”

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

While biking home I wasn’t really focused on the road.

I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened in the woods.

Falling, Lavender, Names, Climbing, all of it.

When I got home my sister Athena was at the table eating lasagna by herself.

“Mom and Mama are asleep, why are you home late?”

”I..met someone”

“Who?”

”Just someone”

She shrugged. “As long as their name wasn’t Kronos”

Everyone in our family was Christian except for Athena who believed in Greek gods, she changed her name to Athena after the Greek goddess of wisdom.

I walked up to my room and stared at the ceiling.

”What a weird day”

I turned off my light.
