Summary
“Well, thanks," she murmurs after a moment.
Misty brightens further. "No problem! It's the least I could do for my favorite patient." She finishes the words off with a corny and exaggerated wink that immediately takes Nat a little aback.
Shit, is she flirting with her? It's far from the first time that it's happened in her life but it's been a while. Nat isn't much of a people person these days.
Especially to a perky blonde nurse who can't be any older than her late twenties. She's the type of person that Nat normally has a habit of scaring.
A forty-one year old down-on-her-luck Natalie casually befriends twenty-five year old nurse Misty Quigley during a hospital stay. She thinks she’ll never see her again after being discharged.
She’s wrong.
