Chapter Text
Sakuya was standing in front of the mirror, he squinted to see if he needed to shave today. He touched the skin above his plump lips with two fingers, when he noticed that he could still have probably two days more without having to shave, Sakuya walked off the bathroom.
The brown haired boy searched for his school uniform, dressing with all the peacefulness he could have as if he wasn't running late.
He was probably thirty minutes late already, so why would he hurry, his teacher will mark him as absent anyway.
He hummed to his favorite song as he got ready, spraying deodorant and some perfume. Sakuya put on his earphones, connected them to his phone and opened Spotify, putting his daily Playlist.
When he was finally walking to school, he was thinking about a cool jacket he saw online, deciding to save enough money to buy it.
He wasn't a fan of early mornings, what's the point of school starting so early? the students brains can barely think properly at eight in the morning.
He isn't doing that bad with his grades though, considering how he almost dropped out several times before.
He does pretty good in Physics, Science and those stuff. But the rest of school subjects are really a problem, he isn't planning on going to a super prestigious university anyway.
Sakuya likes music, he loves music, he wishes he could listen to it all the time. It would be great to hear some majestic beat when looking at your loved one.
He sighs at the thought, he hopes that by the end of the year he can gain courage to talk to his crush.
Hirose Ryo, the boy from the other class.
Sakuya's thoughts are interrupted by the voice of the principal when he arrives school.
"Fujinaga, why are you so late.. again" the elder woman said, her voice demanding. "It's the third time this week"
"Sorry.. It won't happen again I swear" Sakuya lied.
The woman squinted, she didn't believe him. But she still signaled him with her hands to go to his classroom already.
Sakuya obliged.
When he opened the door, the whole class stared at him. He just apologized politely to the teacher and rushed to his desk.
He sighed as he sat down, he looked at the window. The view wasn't exactly.. beautiful, it was just the yard of the school, he saw some people walking around, probably skipping their classes.
The day was normal, until he saw an explosion far away.
Sakuya sighed, he hadn't been in school for even fifteen minutes and he already had to leave.
He raised his hand, "Teacher, can I go to the bathroom.. please" he asked.
"You could've gone at your house"
"Please.. I feel so bad of my stomach" he tried to play as if he was really sick, grabbing his abdomen with his left hand as he made a painful face.
The teacher tilted his head, closed his eyes as he sighed and told him to go.
Sakuya got up his desk hurried, taking advantage of the teacher giving the class his back. He grabbed his backpack as he ran to the bathroom, he locked himself in a stall.
He quickly changed his school uniform to his suit. A full-body, skin-tight, red suit. And went outside.
🕷
Fujinaga Sakuya, seventeen years old. He was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for like three months, he was been the one and only Spider-Man.
He's starting to get used to it.. to being a hero. He is still adapting to his sleeping schedule being more of a freestyle instead, he gets up in the middle of the night to fight creatures and save the city.
After a week of saving the city from being literally destroyed, his image was everywhere. Everybody loved him, he had hundreds of fan pages after two weeks.
Then he started to do advertisers, so he made some money with them. He was invited to shows, local artist would ask him to be on their music videos. Kids would buy masks, t-shirts and toys with his mask on it.
He liked the attention somehow, he could see how grateful the people were with his help, and that made him proud of being special.
But everyone loved Spider-Man, not Sakuya. And he was okay with it, there's no need to let people know his real identity, he knows it would be bad for his family and friends, his enemies would hurt them, so it's better this way.
It is hard to be a normal teenager one day and then being a superhero the next morning.
He still remembers perfectly the day he was bitten — he was walking home from school and decided to make a stop at his favorite bakery, he's never seen any bug or spider neither outside or inside the store, but when he was done buying, he felt something weird on his whole body after he felt a bite and then a spider running down his clothes.
But he just ignored it and kept going with his day, the chances of dying from a spider bite are low (according to his own statistics). So he just went home, ate his pastries, saw TV and went to sleep.
But when he woke up, he felt his whole body burning hot, like a fever. When he got up his bed, he noticed that he could see everything perfectly, no need to keep using his glasses.
He stood in front of the mirror, and somehow his figure got kind of athletic out of nowhere. He plays football every now and then, but this was different — when he thought he might be going crazy, he tried to grab his phone and some weird stuff came out his wrist with a force that startled him.
His phone was now covered in.. spider web? He couldn't believe his eyed, his eyebrows furrowed as he whispered a low "what the fuck". He tried to make a move with his hand again and the same thing happened, over and over, his room was now covered with spider web everywhere.
He heard steps, his aunt's voice muffled saying "Saku.. are you awake, honey?". But as she got closer to his room, his head started to hurt with some weird vibrations, he grabbed his head with both hands as he groaned.
His aunt tried to open the door, the handle moving harshly. "Why is it locked?" she asked, but it wasn't locked, the web was too strong somehow.
After that day, he had to adapt to his new being. He learned how to control his webs from coming out on their own and ruining everything in sight, the feeling of his head was still hard to get used to. Oh and the fact that he could make himself invisible and climb walls.
He gained some courage the next night, at three am the boy went to the rooftop. He would be lying if he said that he wasn't shitting his pants, but he had to do it anyway.
With a deep sigh, he threw himself off the tall building. It was kind of instinctively, he didn't have time to think of anything when he was already swinging building to building with his spider webs.
And you know the rest, he made a costume, a really ugly one. But then he upgraded it, so now he looks so much cooler.
Going back to the start, thankfully, today's villain of the week was... weak. So he came back to school in less than an hour.
He skillfully made it to the restroom, he took off his suit and changed it to his school uniform. He walked off the stall and decided to take off his mask there. His hair kind of a mess when he did, he sighed and looked to the front.
"Ryo?..." Sakuya asked, his voice wavering.
